Well, when there are two State Cups absolutely nothing can be gathered from a win in a watered down state cup tournament. I'm not certain that 9-0 demonstrates a balanced and competitive tournament but that won't stop the chest pounding.

So silly. State Cup that FCV played in is just a tournament for VPL. Loudoun plays in CCL, so would never be in the VPL tournament. FCV not good enough for CCL.

If you are counting VPL State Cup then compare Loudoun vs FCV GotSoccer scores. Loudoun 07g Red is #1 in VA.

Again. I do not view state cup as a competetive tournament. However, if you can't win a non competetive tournament then you shouldn't be chest pounding on here about the future of Loudoun ecnl

FCV won’t play in CCL because they would get crushed. Same reason they avoid the top bracket in most tournaments.

Give some credit though. They are champs of Division III youth soccer. Not going to attract talent though like FCV Dad hopes.

With the start of ECNL at Loudoun the gravy train is over for them. From U12 down next year FCV is a disaster.

As an Arlington parent of 2007 DD, we always have had respect for Loudoun. FCV has sort of an evil empire reputation with coaches who did shady things with players that people still talk about. Next year will be the come uppance for FCV now that our 06s just joined Dev. Acad!!!!

Fcv isn’t in CCL because they got kicked out. Terry (the FCV owner who somewhat recently sold FCV to Christian) had a deal with Annandale to fill some of their CCL slots. FCV had Ashburn teams go from a Wags game switch jerseys and then play CCL. This was in violation of the CCL rules (playing in more than one game a day).

One thing led to another...PWSI got boys DA (and could not meet the CCL rules to put their top team in CCL)...Virginia NPL was born.

TopDrawerSoccer just released the top 150 girls for 2022 and the top three from this area all play for BRYC. I thought this is interesting because we don't hear much about BRYC on this board. All three are in the top 40 in the US. Bethesda has 2 in the top 50 and several more further down the list. Then FCV has 3 in the 90s.
