I am thinking of having my husband cook one night and the kids cook one night. Anyone do this?
Never
I was going to say "almost never", but he actually made steaks and brussel sprouts the other night. So my answer is - a few times/year.
Hah! Surely you jest...
Every night except Friday and lunch on the weekends.
Why can't he cook 3 or 4 nights and the kids cook 1 night?
Most week nights. He gets home an hour before I do.
If we are grilling, my husband will usually do that, but otherwise never. Frozen pizza and Mac and cheese is about the extent of what he does in the kitchen.
Equally as often as I do. We both hate doing it, so splitting it is the only fair solution. But we eat out 3 times a week or so.
he doesn't cook meals, but he does all the grocery shopping so I'm fine with that.
We each cook 2-3 nights per week. I'd say splitting cooking 50/50 is the default in most families I know unless there are circumstances that prevent it--e.g. one spouse consistently works late, one spouse hates cooking or is an awful cook. (Actually, I really know very few people who hate cooking, and fewer still where there is a mixed cook/non-cook marriage. Most people I know who like to cook end up married to other people who like to cook.)
Mine cooks a lot and grocery shops too.
All the time. He doesn't like my cooking and I am totally fine with that.
|
Never, but he does all kitchen clean up. It works for both of us, he hates cooking, I hate cleaning.
When I say never...if he is home alone with the kids, he does feed them! |
Never, but he cleans up. I'm a much better cook than he is so I am perfectly happy to make the food.
