How often does your husband cook?

what do you mean "having?"

My husband cooks on all nights I get home late from work - which has been quite often.

I don't have to tell him to cook.

My husband cooks about three or four nights and we do take out/eat out the other nights. I love it, he loves to cook even though I usually get home before him. We have one baby so going out is easy too.

One or two nights but he throws curry in everything (I mean everything) and I like my cooking better.

Similar with us. I pick the kids up from school (I work near it). He usually has it ready for when we get home.

Never ever. Even if we go out to eat or order pizza, it's always my idea. With that said, he never complains about what I make. I'm pretty good cook and the fact that I work FT and manage to get a home cooked dinner in the table almost every night is something I feel pretty proud about.

DH cooks about 60% of the time. He's a better cook and used to cook 90% of the time pre-kids. But he can't quite wrap his head around cooking simple things that the kids like (spaghetti, beef stew, chicken soup), so I've stepped it up to make sure that our dinners are more kid-friendly at least some of the time!

I make the menu and do some prep work on the weekends - chopping, making sauces and marinades. My husband grocery shops and does all the cooking in the evening. I make breakfast and pack lunches. My husband also washes all the dishes and I put them away. I'm pretty spoiled, but I make sure I know when he has a tough / busy week at work and I leave a bit early so I can cook for him and he can work as late as he needs to.

Six times a year. Same with cleanup, about six times a year. And he works shorter hours than me. I did not pock too wisely, I know.

Never.

Depends on what is being cooked. He is technically in charge Sat/Sun night. But really that means he figures out the protein and cooks that. I still do the side dishes. He does the pizza tossing and cooking every Friday but I do all the prep - make the dough, sauce etc. I guess I'd say that cooking is 70/30 (me/him)

Never and rarely does clean up. He does do a very nice carry out though.

OP, are you looking to bean-count, or is this a chore that you dislike/love and you want to figure out how to split it? My DH will cook if necessary, but my default answer is "get out of my kitchen" because I find cooking relaxing. I hate to garden/mow the lawn, so I never touch that. We split cleaning because we're both kind of 'meh' about that.

So why are you asking?

Never
If I'm not home he can make the kids nachos, frozen chicken fries or pizza
He is useless at the grocery store
I cook almost everything from scratch so we eat healthy, I worry what my kids would eat it I die lmao
