Does no one notice how rich people live here ? School, games, every weekend away either at your close by resort home in St Michael’s or lounging at someone else’s luxury place. Parties. Lunches. What a life.

Also, did high schools typically have games over the summer months back then?

Yes, summer league basketball. This was likely the Kenner League or the Jelleff League back then.

Anger isn’t truth. I feel that Graham and Kav were both told by trump to get red faced and scream. And the idiots fell for it.

I hate the Bernie or Bust Hillary-haters even more than before. So short-sighted and fricking stupid.

PP, OT but Nassar had four hard drives full of sick stuff in his basement.

+1 If he were innocent he would have welcomed an investigation. There's a lot of people in Chevy Chase who won't feel comfortable having him around their kids anymore.

People in Chevy Chase are the most shallow folks I have met. They will absolutely have their children around s SCJ, even if he has a history of sexual assault.

In fairness, he has a history of being accused of an historical sexual assault as a minor, 36 years ago, which only came up due to an intensely partisan confirmation hearing where one party was actively searching for any reason not to confirm him. Don’t assume that everyone is unable to see the difference.

I also happen to know one of the accusers who mentioned this stuff to me 3 years ago. So yes, not everyone see this through politics but rather through the bad behavior of boys in elite prep schools (Landon LAX player).

Shame on Jeff Flake. May he spend eternity in Hell.

Folks, this is why most jurisdictions have a statute of limitations. Prosecuting a crime that happened yesterday is difficult enough. Prosecuting a crime that happened 36 years ago, for which there is no evidence beyond the accuser’s own testimony, is nearly impossible, and the process tears communities apart.

The Democrats did not do Ford a favor by encouraging her to go public with this.

There were reports of his alcoholic fueled attacking of women from when he worked at the white house. Shut down by the republicans though.

His acting like a douche to sentators, violently yelling, throwing questions back at senators like a freakshow. He is a judge - and he has a huge temper and acted terribly. I wouldn't let him be around my dog, let alone my kids. He is not an entertainer like a trump.

Male notion of honor right there. A man's word suffices. A woman always lies.

Liar liar liar. Ford’s story was out before he was the nominee. Disgusting liar. Go and re-edit “devil’s triangle” in Wiki, lackey liar.

How did we get to this hellhole? Is there any path forward?

Yes, there is a way. Vote out every single senator who supports Kavanaugh today. Every one of them needs to be gone. Supporting such an obvious liar and political hack is disqualifying. Remove every one of them.

It would not matter if the people who are left would not make it a mission to investigate Kavanaugh's perjury and all allegations to impeach him. He will still be SC as a mockery of truth and righteousness for 40-50 years.

Anonymous wrote:Tomorrow is the vote on the "Motion to Proceed". This seems to be the linchpin, to convince Manchin, Murkowski and Collins to hold off on approving a "Motion to Proceed" until an FBI investigation can be undertaken in light of the allegations. They may also ask to hear from other witnesses.

This wouldn't mean they oppose Judge Kavanaugh on the merits. In effect, though, they stop the clock yet again while their conditions are met. The question then is whether the rest of the Republican caucus can bear to hold off and take the chance on what facts come to light out of such a probe.

If McConnell cuts bait at that point, and the President immediately withdraws the Kavanaugh nomination and submits a new one, they could jam that through before the new Senate is seated on January 3.

I just do not understand their loyalty to someone who is completely, wholly unfit for office. Is Mueller coming soon? I just don’t understand why otherwise they’d be obsessed with someone who has perjured, is $400K in debt to someone, talks about the Clintons (still?!).... what’s the love for Kavanaugh?

Important case on Supreme Court docket in a month. Deals with sovereign exception and double jeopardy. K expected to rule in such a way that would put Trump above any court.

Nah, he will never look back. What he will probably have is a chip on his shoulder.

None of this is going away, difference between now and twenty years ago.
