Next Level college recruits are excellent players. But nearly all, almost all, all (?) play for competitive private school lacrosse programs. You connect the dots.

Same could be said for all the aforementioned programs.

Ya. But for Madlax and VLC, it’s pretty clear the colleges latch onto the players because they play for these rock star clubs. I think for NL and DCE, colleges are more attracted by the rock star high schools like Bullis and Landon. DCE is only half recognizable b/c of their affiliation with LI, and NL is a complete no-name in the club recutiktnt world.

The dots are that they probably have the nicest indoor facilities in the area and are located in an expensive inner suburb in close proximity to several exclusive private schools. For a parent that lives in NW DC or an inner suburb whose kids go to one of these exclusive private schools it’s a no-brainer.

Sorry. It’s a brainer. Nice indoor facility. Sure. Close in location? Check? VLC crabs practice in, Fairfax? Crabs play in Balmere? Yuck. Near private schools? Sure. But how many Landon, and Zaga, and Prep varsity starters choose NL over the competition? Yeh, you get me now. I love the fellas at NL. But the guys in upper management didn’t even play college lax, their heralded recruits started maybe last year, apart from 2020 they are as talent heavy as , what, the Cavaliers? If you are a gamblin man you spend the several thou on NL and hope they help your kid catch better than a no-name d2 college commit. If you want a safer bet, go with the brand names.

You are straight up delusional.

Why are Next Level tryouts so early this year? It is kind of crazy to have 2-day tryouts with the first day mid-July and the second in mid-August.

It is an attempt to accomodate the many vacation schedules of families and to have more kids attend.

In the past all the clubs tried to make the tryouts on the same day and it was hard to make them all.

What are the new dates? Did they update their website? Specifically interested in 2026 age group. Thanks.

My son's team played the 24s last year and this past weekend in DE. They are definitely a much bigger team than last year. Wouldn't surprise me if they picked up a bunch of reclassed kids. Will say that some of the bigger kids need to work on stick skills and IQ. Just because they are bigger doesn't necessarily mean they are better. A lot of times, the ball movement stalled when bigger kids got the ball. It was obvious that they were going to try to bull dodge and get a shot off.

Nice try madlax. You've been outed by having at least 1 16 year old for 2024's next spring league and 3 on this year's 2023 team and you are spreading lies on other clubs. It's too bad cabell was caught entering a 5th grade team with 15 6th grades on the roster.
