Feedback on Next Level Lacrosse?

Really? When on earth would the coaches have time to talk to all the little guys they want to have try out, and/or their parents? During Gatorade breaks? Chasing them down in the parking lot?

They find the time.

If in MS, the 2023 team is very good. But 2024 and 2025 team is very average. My son plays on the 25s and our coach also coaches the 24s. In my opinion, neither team will really get better until the head coach decides to coach only one team. Splitting time between the two teams only hurts the teams.

New to travel lacrosse. Is it normal to coach multiple teams? or is this just a Next Level thing? Wouldn't that cause conflicts especially with different tournaments and league schedules?

It is not normal for clubs. They have a bandwidth issue.

Not if your child is wearing another team's helmet. That's poaching.

The coaches are the best coaches, maybe not the best college recruiting but OP did not specify that is what they are looking for. Many kids just want to make their HS team and this program is the best at coaching Lacrosse.

We know several older kids who play Next Level and have been recruited for D1 lax.

Lots of people are itching to join that club.

NL2020 beat Crabs in Crab Feast 2018.

But by all means, if you can make the crabs and deal with that drive, go for it.

I think you may have missed the pun.

I've observed that NL has re-focused efforts on recruiting. I think they get it - that college placement is part of the reason parents are willing to put up with huge club fees, travel expenses to tournaments, etc. The numbers are nothing like those at Madlax or VLC, but that should change over time. Take a look at the rosters - lots of kids at strong private school programs.

2020 is strong. Other years are weak.

I think 2023 is quite strong too. And I think some of the other younger teams are much more competitive than in the past.

I agree with pp in NL being much more serious about good teams leading to more $. The new owners are much more focused on this than the prior owners but this is no surprise given their resumes.

For the uninitiated, can someone let the rest of us in on the pun?
