And whether you're going to blame people *other than the people living in those areas* for the disproportionate amount of crime there? Who, exactly, should be held accountable?

The actual perpetrators of the crime are the ones who should be held accountable. Not all of black america. And I don't why specifically it is happening, but I want it to stop and I want my government, the government that I pay taxes to, to actively do something about it, to care about the people and stop calling it black on black crime. I want you to stop a calling it black on black crime. Because maybe if you did, you actually would care about the people that are affected. Does it make some white people to feel good to blame the black children for the suffering that happens in their neighborhoods? What does it do for you to separate yourself from those children? Do you think it's okay for poor children to dodge bullets and just say well they just should blame their circumstance? Is okay that these children don't have up to date books, or dilapidated schools? Maybe that's why the crime happens? If your learning environment is like a jail, who wants to learn there? I want MY tax dollars to help poor people. I don't mind giving them a hand out. I don't want my money going to more military, more banks or more rich people.

I don't blame the children who have to live in these violent areas/circumstances. Not at all. I blame the adults - specifically, the ones who are perpetuating the violence. And I'm sorry, but I don't feel responsible for the violence they're perpetrating. That's on them. And it's on those who live in the same communities and accept that this is "just the way things are" who are to blame.

What exactly would you like people - white people specifically, since you're making a point of calling them out - to do about this? Do you want white people to march into these crime-infested neighborhoods and take the black children out, to keep them safe? Do you want the National Guard to march into these areas and put them under lockdown, to keep everyone safe? How do you think either of those scenarios would go over with the black community? What is it EXACTLY you would have the government do? Just throw money/hand outs/tax dollars to... what, exactly??

In general, we are ALL responsible for making all of our communities safe, for providing equitable education, justice and economic systems that work for ALL of us. And it is pretty small minded to think that people in crime infested communities accept that things are just the way they are. A lot of those people are trapped by poverty and lack of opportunity. Things are not as simple as you think. I honest to God do not understand people who think, well this is how it worked for me, if things are bad for you, you just are not doing things right. NOt everyone is getting what you got, not everyone has been educated, trained, or had models of success. Some communities are left abandoned by local government, and business and left to die slow and painful deaths. The ills of our society are multi-layered and so are the solutions. You are seemingly single and narrow minded.
