Not at a decent ER. Not a chance

I dated a plastic surgeon that was doing a stint at an ER and all of his friends - the "Persian Surgeons" as they referred to themselves - did drugs, mostly pills and cocaine, and then gave themselves IVs every morning. Super, super, super common for young doctors, even very smart ones, even very good ones.

Explains why when we took our 2-year-old screaming in pain - our pediatrician on call could hear her screaming and suggested ER. Anyway= NO ONE there for ER but we wait 2 hours. Finally see a Dr who clearly thinks are overactive parents to take our child to ER. He makes us wait us wait another hour- there was NO ONE there.. seriously , a freak of nature that we were alone. Anyway- my child's ear drum got ruptured after we got the aok annd suffered so much and now has hearing issues. The chief of the hospital "reimbursed our ER cost" which frankly is meaningless/

What the hell did you just write? I could barely follow.

I'll make it basic for you, wish i was clever in adding pictures..

DAUGHTER AT ER- DOCTOR THINKS ITS PARENTS OVER REACTING- WE WAITED 5 HOURS UNTIL OUR DS PASSED OUT IN PAIN. ER WAS EMPTY. DOCTOR GAVE DS ADVIL. DS'S EAR DRUM RUPTURED THAT NIGH(SCREAMING ALL NIGHT AFTER THE ER VISIT). IS THIS CLEAR? WE GOT AN APOLOGY AND WAIVING OF THE ER FEES PER HOSPITAL PRESIDENT. HELLO?

PP is an asshole. I understood you just fine.

Good for you. I didn't understand what she wrote so I asked. I didn't think she'd turn into a complete bitch over the question but she did.

NP. Ruptured eardrums are quite common in kids. Happened to me all the time. There is not much you can do for them aside from pain relievers and some ear drops after the rupture. Not sure what PP was expecting. It's bound to happen again and she will likely need T&A and tubes.

Did they determine an official cause of death? Will there be any charges?

I believe the coroner said it was "acute alcohol and cocaine poisoning." Police confirmed that no charges would be filed. She did it to herself, so I guess the guys were not responsible in any way.

To DCUM audience? Yes, it does. Especially if they were wealthy (check) and pretty (check).

Look at the crazy, unending thread about Savopoulos family tragedy - wealthy, attractive, and seemingly "had it all." Those traits are the gossip grist for the DCUM lookie-loos.

My thoughts exactly. Also note that the OP mentioned sharing an alma mater as a reason to feel sympathy for this woman. I rolled my eyes so hard.

She was most likely roofied or consumed GHB. Nasty stuff.

My guess is that the husband knew she liked to party and she probably has done this multiple times before.

That would be a cocaine induced seizure.

Anonymous wrote:You can't be "half black/half jewish"...maybe half black/half white or half black/half native american etc. If a black man came up to me and said he was half black/half christian I would give him funny look, you are 100% christian (presumably). There are, after all, black jewish people. As far as I understand from the little I know of judaism, there is no real concept of race. A "we are all human" sort of thing. Which is ironic because the black jewish community that is living in Israel has to deal with discrimination.

No, some Jews definitely consider it a race as well as a religion.

it is more than some.

i would say a majority

You're probably right but I couldn't confidently say all and didn't want to talk out of my ass so I just hedged my bets and said "some."

But yes, pp who questioned, it is a race.

Of course it's not, silly. There are people who are both 100% black and 100% Jewish. There are Chinese Jews, white Jews, black Jews...

NO ONE is 100% black, or 100% Jewish. Learn some modern genetics...slavery ended two centuries ago, so why do you believe some old BS about races?

I'm pretty sure plenty of people in Africa are 100% black.

Why didn't they charge the producer and drug dealer? How come no rape kit was done?

No, it's a very well respected major US trauma center. Top 10 residency program.

But are you a partner? In our ER the doctors that work there are in a medical group or partnership. Someone who was
smoking & snorting sounds stupidly immature and a danger to the other partners who are making their living with
their good work and reputations.
Seems like if residents were acting that way their next career step would be.... pimple popper MD? Ear/nose & throat maybe?
No more ER.

This idea that successful career people do coke and other recreational drugs is ridiculous. Maybe in Hollywood but on planet earth? No way. Anyone walking into a office (or ER) high or jacked up on something would not last long.
