Not at a decent ER. Not a chance

I dated a plastic surgeon that was doing a stint at an ER and all of his friends - the "Persian Surgeons" as they referred to themselves - did drugs, mostly pills and cocaine, and then gave themselves IVs every morning. Super, super, super common for young doctors, even very smart ones, even very good ones.

Explains why when we took our 2-year-old screaming in pain - our pediatrician on call could hear her screaming and suggested ER. Anyway= NO ONE there for ER but we wait 2 hours. Finally see a Dr who clearly thinks are overactive parents to take our child to ER. He makes us wait us wait another hour- there was NO ONE there.. seriously , a freak of nature that we were alone. Anyway- my child's ear drum got ruptured after we got the aok annd suffered so much and now has hearing issues. The chief of the hospital "reimbursed our ER cost" which frankly is meaningless/

What the hell did you just write? I could barely follow.

I'll make it basic for you, wish i was clever in adding pictures..

DAUGHTER AT ER- DOCTOR THINKS ITS PARENTS OVER REACTING- WE WAITED 5 HOURS UNTIL OUR DS PASSED OUT IN PAIN. ER WAS EMPTY. DOCTOR GAVE DS ADVIL. DS'S EAR DRUM RUPTURED THAT NIGH(SCREAMING ALL NIGHT AFTER THE ER VISIT). IS THIS CLEAR? WE GOT AN APOLOGY AND WAIVING OF THE ER FEES PER HOSPITAL PRESIDENT. HELLO?

No, it's a very well respected major US trauma center. Top 10 residency program.

For the love of God, you need to report this!!!! Lives are at stake!!!

Thats my question. Why haven't these doctors been reported? Have you no integrity at all? As for Persian doctors, many lack integrity and morality, psarticularly those who come from wealthy families. Have Persians in the family so I know a little about them. However, some are actually devout Muslim and shun alcohol and drugs. I met a number like this too.

But this notion that doctors are commonly into drugs and alcohol is just plain stupid. My sister is a medical doctor, her husband a surgeon, good friends who are plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, allergists, pulmonologists, and yes, ER doctors, and none use drugs recreationally. I have known them since they were young, and no one did drugs. Your circle of friends are just clearly different.

RIP to her (and agree about how the media is sympathetically reporting this story). But, gorgeous? What am I missing?

How racist of you. Replace 'Persian' with 'Jewish' to decide if that is an acceptable comment to make about a group of people .

We reported a NY doctor for some pretty serious offenses and no one cared. We reported her to several places and they were all dismissed. No one cares. No one.

I agree. Some docs are treated like God in some hospitals. They can do no wrong even though it's clear as day they messed up big time.

Get a lawyer. This ER needs to be taught respect for the patient. If you ever need an ER again, go to one that also has a pediatric ER. They triage you differently and much faster. In VA, Inova Fairfax is one.
