So when we get stuck with a Republican Congress again in 2026, enabling Trump to continue to destroy this country, tell me whether the city-run super markets and rent freezes are truly worth it.
Mamdani and AOC are the gift that keeps on giving for Fox News and Republicans. I appreciate their idealism but they have to be realistic and know when to STFU.
So that’s your next move? Saying not only will this mayor ruin NYC, he will also ensure total annihilation of all Dems across the country? Did that talking point survey well for you?
Ya’ll are so damned obvious. And still not actually from NY *C*.
I've provided plenty of proof I'm from NYC. You have done nothing. I think the whole argument is pathetic and childish and sad, but I played along. Where do you live? Where do your kids (if you even have any) go to school? If private, what public are you zoned for? Favorite local pizza spot? Favorite host on NY1 (you probably have no idea what I'm talking about since you don't live here)?
What proof?
1. No
2. d2.
3. Di faras. Not totally local but #1.
4. Don’t watch and that’s an odd ? and seems designed to seem ‘in the know’ even though it’s not.
Ok questions back to you as above 👆 plus, and anyone who wants to show they’re from NYC and have any legitimate business commenting on this race:
1. What animal is subway famous and why?
2. Name the most frustrating issue with citibikes. Several answers will be accepted
3. On the next door neighbor app for NYC neighborhoods, what is the most common topic? Again, multiple answers will be accepted.
1. Assuming you mean rats if one could call a rat an animal. Because they are everywhere and gross.
2. Finding a place to dock - the station is full when you want to go there.
3. I don't know anyone who uses that app. I have heard of it so not discrediting you, just don't know it. To show my street cred, I am uptown and everyone I know reads West Side Rag or I Love the UWS.
Regarding NY1, the question is perhaps a bit dated. But it is a cult favorite among many. Pat Kiernan in the morning? I actually haven't watched in a while but used to have it on a lot. I was more testing to see if you even knew hat it was.
See. We both live here. This is fun. Yeah team.
NP. This could also be a wealth, class, neighborhood divide. Neither I nor any of my friends ride the subway, take a citibike, or use a next door neighbor app. And we've all been here for 40+ years.
Yeah, highly unlikely you’re a New Yorker but nice try with the ‘class divide’ nonsense. But feel free to post your own NYC only questions.
Btw even if you don’t ride the subway or use citibike regularly, you should know at least two of the answers to the above, especially if you have kids. Same with next door. I don’t use it either, but the culture is a well known joke.
Not sure what to tell you. I live on the UES, kid goes to a well known private school, I obviously know about rats (and pizza rat, etc.) but not sure if that's what you're referring to about the subways. Have no idea what the citibike reference is. The only thing I know about them is that the riders on them are typically a menace as they are often not experienced riders, don't follow stop lights or one way street rules, etc. And I guess I'm not in on the joke for the app as I have never heard anything about it. I was just commenting that those questions might not be all that helpful in determining who lives where. I don't really care if you believe whether I live in NYC (I wasn't the one you were arguing with), but everyone should know pizza places they like in the city (it was odd when someone chimed in earlier saying not everyone would know that answer). It's actually hard to find a good one on the UES, though Delizia (73 now that I live further south; used to go to 92) works fine for a regular pie. I like Keste for the Neapolitan style, and used to go to the one in the village until it closed. Now you have to go to the financial district if you want it (though you can get the same pies from the same owners at Da Antonio in midtown on the westside). Garbage trucks clogging the streets of the UES on Tuesday mornings suck when you are in a cab or Uber. Traffic on the FDR from exit 23 to 24 (GWB) is always awful when I'm heading north, and at the exit 17 junction when I'm heading south. Doesn't matter what time of day, it's always there. For bagels, my favorite is the bagel shop on 93rd and 3rd (used to be called Corner Bagels when I lived around there). I still walk there from time to time because I think it's better than the places a lot of other people like (like Essa, H&H, etc. and I won't stand in the popup bagels line just because it's popular on social media). I could go on, but you get the point.[/quote
Ok where are your questions? Quick, go run and research and ask your sister!
