Do you like Taylor Swift?

The context of this is really important. There were rumors he would propose to her if they won. Before his most high profile game & and a game fans thought he might propose to her at he chose to dress like a buffoonish 70s pimp? That seems like something you'd wear to spite your "girlfriend." It's giving... I'm an immature clown and this relationship contract is ending so I'm going to dress defiantly. Thumbing his nose at their relationship on the way out. It's certainly NOT giving... I'm a maturing hot jock who's going to propose to my future wife after we win this Super Bowl.

Nothing mature or hot about that guy lol. You could be right, maybe they will be breaking up soon. I predict it won't last.

I don't think he's hot at all but a good stylist can make a jock like him look suave, stylish, and masculine (see Philly's quarterback pre-game outfit below). Kelce's pimp outfit just shows he's still deeply immature, he had no intention of proposing to her, and he clearly didn't seek her advice on it. It makes it sound like a fake relationship, to me.

This is a ridiculous suit too - purple? All of these NFL players think they're dressing to impress, but in reality they just look idiotic.

Why the heck would he seek advice from her on his outfit? And the proposal thing was purely a rumor. GMAFB. He is who he is. If their relationship is real, she is going to love him for who he is.

DP. The only people who actually thought there would be a proposal were morons. He dresses horribly because that's his thing and has been for some time now. He's not "thumbing his nose at" TS. Do you generally read into things to such an extent?

Relationships with such a famous person result in a glow up. Instead his style has gotten worse. My husband asks me for advice before wearing something. You think Travis asked Taylor for advice on the pimp suit? He obviously didn’t. It teases out they don’t even talk.

?? My DH doesn’t ask my permission for what he wants to wear.

I don’t understand why anyone actually thought he’d propose on the field (if they won). I know both of these people love attention but I don’t either are classless enough to hijack a team moment like that.

You think he just grabbed stuff out of his closet? He just randomly has a 70s era pimp costume in there? It's normal for a genuine couple to send photos to each other and FaceTime what they're going to wear to such a public event.

Hurts frequently wears purple, lavenders, etc. -- it's his favorite color. You can think the color is gauche but it's tailored and looks classy for a young stylish filthy rich quarterback (age 26). Travis in contrast looked like a damn clown (age 35).

Spot on. It’s truly funny to read so many things from people who clearly know nothing about football and even less about him. There was never a remote chance he would propose on the field. If they had won, it would have been all about the team. Not his personal life. That was never going to happen. As for his fashion, he has always chosen edgy and often not traditional custom made clothing. She has nothing to do with it.

She stupidly disappointed much of her fan base by declaring her politics and implying false things about Trump. Nothing new here, but she is now facing the consequences for many of her stupid antics. Next comes her choice of a boyfriend whose attire last night was an embarrassing spectacle.

The people at the Super Bowl were not "Taylor Swift's fan base." That crowd was mostly middle aged and older men who have enough money or connections to get tickets to the Super Bowl.

They hate Taylor Swift because she's richer than they are, more powerful than they are, and she does it while also looking and dressing like a woman they'd like to subjugate. But they can't! It's enraging.

I'm not even much of a Swift fan (I find a lot of her music mid, save for a few songs, and I don't really love her public persona) but the idea that she was booed by her own fans because they are upset about her politics or her boyfriend? Babe, no. Her fans weren't there and still love her. She was booed by the patriarchy because they hate a powerful woman, especially one who is also relatively young and pretty and seems to revel in both those things -- those women are supposed to be for decoration only.

OMG. Babe, no. Just stop. It's funny that you think "middle aged and older men" were the majority of that crowd - singing along with Lamar? Are you serious? I'm a Swift fan, but your comments about "the patriarchy" are just absurd. The booing came from Eagles fans who obviously don't like Travis Kelce, and by association, her. That's it. It's not complicated.
DP

+1 If they knew Lamar lyrics, they were not MAGA or old white men.

No, silly. It's because she was an Eagles fan. She grew up in PA. Both she and her dad were Eagles fans, so the Eagles fans were booing her because she cheers for KC now.

MAGA can't afford tix to NFL games.

Trump was booed by many, but FOX edited out the audio.

Agree with your first paragraph, but the rest? Seriously?

Oh, I stand corrected. All the people singing along to Lamar must have been MAGA after all. lol

Yes, Trump was booed.

Oh, come on. I voted for Trump but I'm also a TS fan. It's ok to be both. We're all entitled to our political opinions.

Funny because Ivanka Trump posted a photo of her an her DD making Taylor Swift cake for the kid's birthday, so not all the high-up MAGA hate TS just because...

Anyone who believes she would get engaged on a football field has not been paying attention.

This reception of Trump nearly made me fall asleep.

Definitely. There is a world of difference, and while my own tastes are pretty conservative, I don’t think Hurts looks weird or gross or costumey. It’s a well tailored suit and he looks appropriate.

+1 Travis's suit being 2 sizes too big and wide legged are the main issues. The sunglasses look ridiculous too.
