Why aren’t males attending college?

Anonymous
Because men are conservative, and conservatives have invested heavily into narratives that any education is "woke" and "DEI" so they are now avoiding it like the plague. Add a decade of people calling college completely useless and promoting the trades, and then you get a generation of disheveled, angry men with crap jobs.

Way to paint all men with your broad, politically-infused brush. "Most" men don't fall into your neat little generalization bucket. My daughter attends a school with a 50/50 ratio. Some schools simply aren't appealing for some male students - others are more so.

I'm a man, but thanks for the womansplaining and details about your daughter. I do not care.

+1000 to the PP talking about their daughter.

Most schools do not have a 50/50 ratio. Schools like Lehigh, VTech, etc. are outliers.

I'm not a woman, but I like the sexist assumption that I am.
People here are such a mess.

Everyone online disparages college and calls it useless. Chronically online men just happened to follow that propaganda.

I'm sure there's some existing Pew Research data or future Pew data that is/is going to corroborate this. Men have a much more flippant attitude when it comes to college/higher education than women.

Many of the type of influencers young men are following are saying these things. Youtube pushes far right content more than other kinds of content, which has given us men confused and angry at the world.

This past page may be the most on-the-nose I've seen this forum. No, men aren't some fallen heroes of feminized education-they are doing poorly and are babied for such failure (See how quickly these moms came to defend these boys not attending college). The right-leaning online nonsense needs to be ridden of.

I work in a male-dominated STEM field. As a group, the women are far smarter than the men.

Maybe more women go to college because estrogen makes people smarter than testosterone.
