I am deleting posts that, like this one, are full of lines. Do you not know that one of the oldest churches in the world is in Gaza and Hamas never touched it? The Christian community lived there without issue until Israel attacked them. Hamas did not kill them as you claim they would have, but Israel has. You know who bombed that historic church? Israel. Not Hamas, Israel

You're not only ignorant about the Middle East, but proud of your ignorance. I have been saving you from embarrassment by removing your lie-filled posts.

Do you want people who do not agree with you not to post here? They should just read and accept what they read here as instruction? You will lose visitors this way, which is not of benefit to your business. I hope you don't take this as a threat or an insult, but a heads up from those who appreciate this site.

DP. How about, instead of threatening Jeff, you reapond to facts he posted?

Nothing I said was a threat or hinting at a threat and I did not mean anything as a threat. You are telling me to respond, but what is the point? If I don't say what you want me to say, you will call me stupid or a Zionist and say that I am biased or Eastern European. If I say what you want me to say, you will agree, but what is the point, you already know the info you agree with already. So there is no reason for me to post for any reason. This is the point I was making, not a threat: people are going to stop visiting and posting on this site if there is not point in doing so.

Here's what it comes down to: You use tiresome, out-of-date, hysterical, hyperbolic stock responses to defend Israel and you won't let go, even when proven false. I keep hearing the same nonsense about "peace plans" (which were never actual peace plans) "both sides" and on and on. It doesn't work anymore and many of you are ticked off at the younger generation because they're not going to wallow in the same ignorance as you've chosen to remain. They don't want to hear you constantly mention Oct 7 when they know now what was happening in the days, weeks, months, years before that day. And they know most were killed on Oct 7 by Israel because Israel doesn't know how to fight on the ground, so they just blow up everything from the air. They're not going to watch CNN gaslight them into believing every lie Jake Tapper chooses to repeat and is unashamed when called out for lying. They're not going to sit there like you, watching traditional media be IDF stenographers who defend WAR CRIMES. This isn't even about Palestinians. This is about what Israel has been allowed to get away with because many people who are Zionists, have an insane amount of power and use it to silence criticism or carry toxic water for an occupation. They'd all be doing this regardless of who the occupied are.

Side note: I keep seeing Pro-Israel people on here whining about deleted posts. I know I got at least a couple deleted, so what? It happens.

A lot of words to tell us you think you are right and those who don't agree with you are wrong, and you don't want to hear what they have to say, and they should shut up. That is why I asked, are those who do not agree with the moderator welcome to this site? Should we contribute to its ad dollars? Again, that is not a threat, but a question, because if you don't want us here really, but just want us to pretend we can contribute so you have earn revenue, that isn't fair to us.

This vituperative, very personally directed to a poster, language is uncharacteristic of you, you are normally very gracious to posters who "act up", you never lose your cool, except on this topic. I've seen this as a trend, people, when speaking against Israel, start to curse, insult, make personal attacks, as if this required to be seen as really really passionate as a sense of loyalty. In reality, it is not necessary, because attack and insults do not change minds. Ok, be against Israel. But the name calling does nothing for what you advocate for.

Oh, how civilized of you!

Ah, what a cross you bear, defending the indiscriminate slaughter of innocents by an apartheid regime that will go down in the dustbin of history alongside Nazi Germany whilst wagging your craven finger at others for failing to follow your decorum expectations.

Indeed!

This is how coddled Israel's defenders are. I'm sure we will get a congressional hearing on hate based solely on your post, since that's all it takes.

You're supposed to be nice to them when defending why it's a bad thing to defend burning people alive.

Ironically, acting like *Hannibal* Lecter where they expect you to behave with manners as they rip your face off.

I've been moderating this website the same way for 20 years. Thanks for your warning but I think the site has a few more years in it. Opinions are one thing, but making completely false statements does not benefit anyone. But, if you prefer lies and misinformation, I can recommend some websites that would be better suited for you.

No, you have behaved differently on this topic.
Why don't you make a sticky letting people know what they can and cannot say? Why keep up the pretense that people can say what they want, particularly when you just said you will delete posts that say some specific things?

What do you see as the value of outright lies? I am not sure why, but in one of your earlier posts you accused me of saying things that I did not say. What is the value of that? I've left your post because I don't really care about lies about me. But in a topic like this, what is the value of someone stating things that factually are not true (e.g. that Hamas would bomb any church that it could despite one of the most ancient churches being safe under Hamas until Israel bombed it)? I am really confused as to why keeping objectively false information is important to you.

DP. It's an objective fact that Hamas hasn't blown up Christian churches in Palestine like you claimed they would. It's not up for debate nor a subject of agreement or disagreement, it's just a fact. That you won't acknowledge. I appreciate Jeff's intolerance for falsehoods and if he were to allow hateful BS like yours to stand for his profit, then I would stop giving him clicks, just like I have on all the other social media sites that allow it.

No need for a sticky to tell people they aren't allowed to lie. Lies aren't protected free speech and are subject to libel lawsuits.

Becaus the behavior is not helping you. It is not helping the Palestinians. Being mad and telling people you are mad and telling people they are stupid and evil accomplishes nothing. Do something. Read about Thurgood Marshall. Read about Churchill. They didn't sit around teling people they were so mad and demanding change. You can't demand anything. Find a way to make change.

DP

The only specific action I have heard from pro-Palestinian American activists is that they are going to not vote for Harris in the hopes of teaching the Democrats a lesson. The only lesson they will learn is not to listen to you.

Change takes work. The US needs to stop giving Israel weapons. But elected officials will not change their behavior because you didn't vote. They need to be primaried out. The work happens in the primaries and after the general election. During the general election, throwing a literal tantrum can only help Trump get elected and he will absolutely do whatever Bibi wants. And maybe that's what you want? Bibi wants war and war is the only way to destroy Israel? But ostensibly what people are saying is they want peace and they want to save lives. So no, Trump is not the answer. Stop choosing the absolute laziest form of protest.

It is not a matter of niceness. It is about strategy and effectiveness, as one who seeks to make change in the world. Insults and cursing and personal attacks do not achieve anything.

Shouldn’t we leave it to each person to determine the utility of their actions?

Besides, why are you so obsessed with trying to silence others if their actions are having no effect?

Becaus the behavior is not helping you. It is not helping the Palestinians. Being mad and telling people you are mad and telling people they are stupid and evil accomplishes nothing. Do something. Read about Thurgood Marshall. Read about Churchill. They didn't sit around teling people they were so mad and demanding change. You can't demand anything. Find a way to make change.

Something doesn’t add up …

You have very clearly, over the course of many months, established that you believe that a biblical covenant between God and the Jews literally gave them the holy land for all eternity, and that you DO NOT want any change in U.S. foreign policy except for America to send its servicemen and women to fight Israel’s wars for it. You have also repeatedly shrieked that the Biden administration isn’t doing enough. You have stated these things repeatedly. Or are you now going to argue that you have not done these things?

But now you are trying to convince everyone that you’re concerned that those opposed to everything you stand for are not doing their best to get the results they want? You’re coaching them to be more effective? Again, to be more effective in efforts that lie in direct conflict with what you want?

Do you see why many view people like you as irredeemable liars?

They can’t but you can’t even bring yourself to criticize me, you who lives in your cushy place far from everything you are so vocal about. The hypocrisy of your disguist towards me, who is doing something daily to help those Israel displaces.

This vituperative, very personally directed to a poster, language is uncharacteristic of you, you are normally very gracious to posters who "act up", you never lose your cool, except on this topic. Oh, so Israel is burning children to death because someone got mad at you and called you stupid and evil. It's all their fault, and not Israel's. Ok

Pro-Palestinian activists are not naive children. They understand the political calculus as well as you do. But put yourself in their shoes. What has Biden refused Netanyahu that Trump will give him?

You may be correct that politicians don't listen to those who don't vote for them, but that is only if they win. If politicians learn that they can't win without your vote and they know that they have to listen to you to earn your vote, I suspect that they will listen.
