Why are Christians insisting the opening ceremony depicted The Last Supper when it really was the Feast of Dyonisus?

Going forward, they really should only allow the Olympics in countries with such laws.

So move to Afghanistan. I can’t believe all MAGAs haven’t already done so, it’s vision board realizes.

Ask Rudy... He dressed up as a woman for Donald Trump in a commercial a couple decades ago and seemed to really enjoy it

Why are straight people so obsessed with pushing their straight agenda? I turn on the TV and all I see are straight people. It's like I get it. You're straight. Why do you keep jamming it down my throat

The men of Ancient Greece “paraded around” as women. Nothing new here.

Olympic authorities have said it was a depiction of the Feast of Dyonisus. How is this still a controversy? Do facts not matter at all to these people? At least one Christian pastor seemed to figure out what really happened.

Reverend Benjamin Cremer, based in the US, shared a post on social media which dispelled the allegation that the controversial scene featuring drag queens was mocking Leonardo da Vinci's classic painting and therefore Christianity.

The post reads: 'It was a representation of the event called the Feast of Dionysus. Greek God of festivity and feasting and ritual and theater.'

It seems as if Christians are very invested in feeling persecuted and disrespected these days. Seems like some people are actually just riling up the base.

When someone is offended, is it the intent or the impact that matters most?

I'm offended by your take on this. How dare you.

France is so low grade

We do so much better in the US, marching with torches and chanting “Jews will not replace us” /s

And i doubt Macron said there were good people on both sides

We have all of the best parades. Yuge crowds.

LGBTQ isn’t quite accepted outside of the us and Europe but mocking religion and putting kids in the show doesn’t really help their cause. It’s kinda the perfect storm for the opposite of global acceptance but global derision.

The director may have had good intentions but the show was something for a pride parade not an Olympics. A drag catwalk show makes no sense for an Olympics

For the 541st time, no one was mocking religion.

The Rs DGAF about what actually happened.

They will joyfully create their own, self-victimizing narrative. They get off on it.

PP here—well, I can say they are pushing the agenda while, honestly, I love Bridgerton, Grey's Anatomy, 9-1-1, etc.

Pushing the agenda is about normalizing it. And this has become totally a polarizing issue here because of schools and the need to push it on children. And that's the trigger point.

Extreme Action - pushing pronoun idiocy and gender dysphoria talks to young children in public schools. (Middle School and HS OK, but not ES -- all children should go through puberty before making any life-altering medical decisions unless parental sign-off)
Extreme Reaction - put the 10 commandments/Bible study in public schools. (which is wrong - separation of church and state - BUT removing the Pledge of Allegiance is also 100% wrong)

Yes, we all know bigots think acknowledging pronouns is “extreme”.

It’s weirdly masochistic. Guess everyone has their kink.

Yes, because the proper venue for men wearing make up is the Republican National Convention. Trump and Vance were wearing more bad makeup than these drag queens were. And it looked like garbage too.

Perhaps the RNC could be nicer to the drag queens. They might actually teach Donald how to properly beat his face and suggest a better quality eyeliner for Vance.

20 years ago, no one would have assumed that a man acting in women’s clothing was a “drag queen.” That’s been happening as long as humans have been performing. Fox viewers are so ignorant and impressionable, they have no idea they’re being manipulated.
