Or not many ballers showed up and they are locking in who they can.

Fortunately SYC has a tradition for developing ballers, and with a potentially weak GA conference they will have the time and space to develop their players away from the high stress and pressure of ECNL, teenage girls don't need that degree of pressure when many are still learning the game

Exactly correct. Also the girls will have fun winning all the time which makes it easier for clubs to keep teams together.

That’s actually not a bad take and first time I’ve heard that one.

SYC insiders say that top players have received offers, they have another two weeks before March 1 to convince the rest to sign on

ID sessions schedule updated. What's the purpose of the invite only sessions that have been added?

How do you develop ballers in weak unchallenging environment?
Athletes et al who can't deal and cope with pressure remain mediocre, at best.

Sounds like the parents will love the winning all the time.
They make the decisions as to where their girls play.

The Future is SYC - with the dust settling on the large ECNL NoVa reshuffle with Brave added to Union, and BP taking over at VDA. and Arlington doing nothing as usual. My guess is next destination to play high level girls soccer in NoVa is SYC. Real soccer consumers are not concerned with GA or ECNL. SYC has a very knowledgeable soccer group from a global perspective not the small bubble that is US youth soccer. Their develpmental long game will pay dividends in the long run no matter what league they are run i.e. in 2-3 years getting results and in the long run is more like 5+ years competing on national stage. Boys MLSN is #7 nationallly no club in this area can boast that on girls nor boys side.
