They don't really matter until maybe U13 but really IMO, platforms that are built on the basis of college recruitment shouldn't really be a thing until HS age years like U15 and up. Colleges aren't going to watch your U13-U15 kid at showcases, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But those leagues will take money however they can. |

Demanding yes, toxic...depends on the club and coach. There are ECNL clubs and teams in NOVA with very positive environment for development. |

Positive environment and development don't work for NOVA clubs. You can't win that way. It's kick and run. Watch the top teams in NOVA. That's all they do. |
