It is appalling someone who uses slurs like this not once, not twice, but three times, has not resigned.

Simply disgusting!

If you want people who live by their principles, or apply them even-handedly, you can't do much worse than the current FCPS School Board.

My Websters dictionary (1995) defines the term as "slow or limited in intellectual, emotional, or academic progress." No other definition is provided. I understand it's frowned upon today to use in that context, but that's my dictionary definition.

I’m sure we could find some older publications using the n-word with nary a twinge of guilt, too. KKG and her supporters have proven themselves to be beneath contempt with their continued efforts to minimize the significance of her vile words.

They took the language from the extreme "Free and Anti-racist minds" and wanted to make it into a resolution. Fortunately some more moderate school board members resisted.

So.. all the anti-racists are... racists? Imagine that!

The only people who use that term in a derogatory sense are people like me who grew up in the 80s and 90s where that was a common insult in middle and high school. She's way too old to have picked up on that lingo.

I was born in 1970 and recall the term being used quite often. It wasnt “new slang”.

It's still a "normal" word in Reddit, Wall Street Bets group.

Anonymous wrote:Wow, what a pathetic statement by KG tonight. She is giving the system homework to assist the caring culture. She is the one who didn’t exhibit caring culture! All “restorative justice” should have focused on what she is doing herself, not trying to spread the blame. As far as her statement about her commitment to students throughout her time on the board, she has been an awful member who is always virtual and is only focused on photo opportunities and creating unnecessary programs that she could attach her name to. Self promotion, not service to students has been her focus.

She’s never impressed me nor did the fact that she was caught using a slur in public surprise me. I had a private conversation with her once where she went off about how it was important to “teach [a particular school community] a lesson,” which would have been bad enough but was made even worse once it was clear she’d confused two different schools. But the Fairfax Democrats will always protect her no matter what she does.

+1 Also, NAACP

True. Since that organization was fine with junky instruction no one stood a chance of change and no one included AA school board members, regular parents of all ethnic groups, many of whom those in charge had zero clue as to political party.
