2023 Boys HS lacrosse outlook

Bullis has the best 2025 class by a mile, after that I’d throw in either Landon or PVI.

Prep has a pretty weak 2025 class as does Gonzaga and even SJC.

As for the 2026 class, albeit that it’s very early predict what varsity rosters could look like in two years or how current freshman will pan out, SJC has a stellar 2026 class.

Still going with Bullis to have the best team this coming spring!

Best 25 class is Bullis by light years, but look for a handful of schools to have strong 25 classes at SSSAS, Landon and PVI. Just not the same depth as Bullis with its DCE connections. Agree on 26 being a strong year for St J and Prep, but no freshman is going to be impactful for WCAC and IAC. They are just too deep with sophomores - seniors.

I got to watch the '25 Bullis FOGO at the UA tryouts. He's going to be trouble for everyone for the next 3 years.

Not sure what watching UA tryouts for a FOGO would have anything to do with projecting this season. As a 2025 he would not have faced Prep/SJC/STA/PVI's fogo who are already D1 commits. I would not rank Bullis top five at this position in the DMV

Doesn’t matter if SJC has the best 2026 class, I don’t think Speaks will be there by the time those kids are seniors.

He was very close to going over to Georgetown Prep this off season

BS. Already working on the 27 class. Gonzaga folks are trying to interfere with his recruiting by putting these rumors out there. Not working.

If your son wants to take his game to the highest level than he should go to St. John’s. Gonzaga parents claim, actually brag that they do minimal during the off season. It’s not about lacrosse they claim. Doesn’t cut it. Prep is the same.

If you don’t think off season workouts are important don’t just look at the results in the field. Look at what team had the most season ending injuries.

I’m sending my son to a top academic school that provides a top notch lacrosse experience.

SJC and GZ offer very strong programs but academics are average.

Must be a Prep parent.

Interesting. Must not know that Gonzaga and SJC lax players can and have opened any and all doors. Sounds like a bitter Landon dad.

He knows. Just rather pay 45 plus and reclass a year. Then run around acting like kid is special.

You mean the FOGO that cost them the win in the GEICO match? Kid has some serious anger issues.

That's the one. Gave a kid a concussion at Nike too.

Different poster, but this is true re Prep. He was super close this year to jumping. And of course he would still recruit 27’s, cause they are no guarantees in this coaching business. He’s a smart guy. Has to play it straight.

I actually think he’ll jump to a boarding school at some point, and not Prep.

In all seriousness, what is so great about him as compared to the other coaches at the good lax schools? Is he actually a great coach or just a great recruiter of talent? I also think covid helped him when parents were upset with how other schools were handling things. That issue is basically gone now.

Clearly someone hasn’t been paying attention. St. John’s has been on the up since 2017. Speaks first championship season. No players transferred to St. John’s due to Covid.
