Christie is watching DeSantis fall and Haley get no traction. He may get in to be the alternative that DeSantis won’t be.

As a Dem who is terrified by these MAGA types and culture warriors, I would be pleased as punch for Christie to be the nom. I don't like him, I don't want him to be president, but I also don't think he is going to round up trans people and put them in camps - and he's not a gun nut. His corruption/mismanagement seems to be more of the old school petty stuff than selling government secrets to Russia, too.

As a Dem who is terrified by these MAGA types and culture warriors, I would be pleased as punch for Christie to be the nom. I don't like him, I don't want him to be president, but I also don't think he is going to round up trans people and put them in camps - and he's not a gun nut. His corruption/mismanagement seems to be more of the old school petty stuff than selling government secrets to Russia, too.

I agree but he still won’t beat Trump for the nomination.

You're probably right, but all we've seen so far is Trump vs. a lot of mini Trumps. I remember a whole lot of interviews/stories with Trump voters saying they liked Trump's policies, but wish he'd tone it down with his language and attacks. Christie might scratch that itch.
