BREAKING: Multiple sources now telling me 3 additional investigations are about to open:

1. @FBI - felony lying to Congress by accusers making false claims.
2. Congress - @SenFeinstein’s handling of Ford letter.
3. DC Bar - into Ford’s attorneys malpractice.

Interesting. Will they also investigate BK's lies about boofing and Devil's Triangle, among others?

I feel that this is setting the #metoo movement back.

If the message is believe any allegation then what is the message we are sending?

I simply do not believe her.

What is the message we are sending if we only believe allegations that involve a video or a witness? That if someone rapes a woman in a forest where no one hears her scream, then it didn't happen?

If she had a couple of GFs she told contemporaneously who would attest to that it would have gone a long way to establishing credibility. The fact that her BFF was supposedly at the party and has no recollection doesn't help her story.

The world of sheltered Bethesda area preps from the early 80s has been torn open for all to behold and....it turns out to be pretty much what we public school folks in FCPS thought it would look like along. (Maybe a little more beer than wine coolers, to be fair.)

All 3 of these are bs. Par for the course, lately, it seems.

Agree. Too much coming out just tonight. But given he said he wouldn't withdraw, will he make Trump pull him, or will they force a vote?

Twitter says force a vote. And Trump has been know to force losing votes. See also, the ACA repeal. But more to the point, they never staffed up adequately, and Kav is McGann’s guy and McGann is leaving. They have been too busy with Kav to vet anyone as Plan B.

Murkowski’s still probabaly a no. I think Collins is a yes, but still the half-assed “investigation” matters. It could change things. Also attitudes from the testimony may start to harden. It’s still too soon to know for sure where this is all going.

Assuming Flake is a yes, and Collins is a yes (I agree with you about Murkowski), that brings us to 50. Either Manchin votes yes, or Pence breaks the tie.

As is Kevin McCulloughs track record.

"The conversation then turned to Kozinski’s protege and good friend Kavanaugh, who one source said was a familiar name even though he had not yet been nominated to the high court. Chua allegedly told the students that it was “no accident” that Kavanaugh’s female clerks “looked like models”. Student reacted with surprise, and quickly pointed out that Chua’s own daughter was due to clerk for Kavanaugh.

"A source said that Chua quickly responded, saying that her own daughter would not put up with any inappropriate behaviour."

Huh.

And I think Flake is going to be pissed that Trump is jerking him around on the investigation, and has nothing to lose, since he isn’t running again.

Let’s see who’s right, shall we?

I don't know Latin, but that one is obvious.

What you're saying is that since Ford lied about flying, her entire testimony is thrown into doubt.

Except she never lied about flying.

Except she never lied about flying.

She said she needed to delay the hearing until Thursday because she was afraid to fly.

I think the 4 of them will stick together that either there are too many lies or the investigation was not what they had proposed. Murkowski is going to be a no because of the native rights issues, and they had all pledged to vote the same way.
