We’ve done such a good job saving Kavanaugh, Inwonder if something cannot be done to rehabilitate gentleman judge Moore?

Letters sent to the senate judiciary committee by lawyers have the same legal consequences as testimony under oath.

Justice K stated he was not there.

Mark Judge stated he was not there.

PJ Smyth stated he was not there.

Ford’s long time girlfriend stated she was not there and doesn’t know Justice K.

From Holton’s 1984 yearbook, those girls in their senior year were preying younger boys for their freshness. Those white rich girls drank and partied just as hard.

She will not testify if she is still sane.

Well that’s the issue now, isn’t it. Apparently she’s not, and the people who know these facts and still support her are not.

Dr. Ford's mental state is at the center of it. She has been seeing therapy several times over the years. Do we know what the counseling was for?

Her college roommate at UNC, best friend and ridesmaid, Piwowarski told Ford that she never told her this story ever.

Her best friend from Horton, Leland Keyser, told congress she doesn't know Kavanaugh, and never attended such a party even though Ford named her being at the party.

There is a passage in the original WaPo story that revealed Ford's name that appears to have gone unnoticed. Right below the paragraph that says the incident came out in a couples' therapy session in 2012 there is this:

"Notes from an individual therapy session the following year, when she was being treated for what she says have been long-term effects of the incident, show Ford described a “rape attempt” in her late teens."

Age 15 would not be described as "late teens." This could be another transcription error on top of the it was two boys, not four, but still this remains curious.

Could Ford have had a troubling incident in her late teens--say, when she was college age--and this is what has led to her reported ongoing trauma? That is, the two exit doors to her bedroom, the reluctance to fly, etc?

Interesting.
Not only that, but the same article said there were 4 boys there. Now, we learn 3 boys and 1 other girl.
The WaPo has not corrected the story, so I assume they had the information correct as it was given to them.

There are way too many conflicting “facts” and unknowns to have confidence that this story is accurate.

This therapist's license needs to be reviewed/revoked or Ford is not telling the truth. A significant part of a licensed therapist's job is to take accurate notes. If a therapist always note down the wrong information, how can he/she be effective in counseling.

Have you noticed all her family here is keeping their distance? None of the Blaseys are speaking up for her. Just Holton alumni from other graduation years who don't know her.

Nice troll attempt. Moore had nine accusers plus others like the police officer who was told to keep him away from cheerleaders. Kavanaugh has one accuser and her three witnesses have denied her story.

I am not sure we know that the couples therapist and the individual therapist were the same. So one therapist with poor note taking skills or two?

This has been curious to me as well. There were some quotes from Ford's DH, Russell Ford, indicating that family relations were tense because her family was politically conservative.

“She didn’t always get along with her parents because of differing political views,” Russell said. “It was a very male-dominated environment,” Russell Ford told The Post.

Why believe one woman and not another? Whitehouse... Blumenthal... Gilibrand... all of them.

I believe that they don't remember the party (Maybe even Judge, who could have been blacked out)- which is all they state --for them, there is not assault to remember. Only Ford was assaulted and it sticks out in her mind.

This.

So is the vote still scheduled for Monday? She had until 2:30 yesterday to tell them whether she would testify, and all she said was that she would testify if they meet her requirements, one of which is that she be allowed to level her accusations without giving the accused a chance to defend himself. (She said she wants to go last.)

Are you really this dense and unknoweagable or are you posting here to purposely muddle the facts?

1. She was in couples therapy -- lots of people do that, doesn't imply mental illness and even if it did, it does not imply that the person is unreliable.

2. college roommate stated in a WaPo article that she didn't know about the event until Ford recently asked her about it. People often don't tell anyone for years about sexual assaults.

3.Keyser said she doesn't recall.... which is different from stating she never attended.... Please get your facts straight.

This.

Hopefully, the Senate will not make their determination on what some in the media and general public “believe.”

The reality is that her version is lacking many details, and we are discovering several inconsistencies. So, the details she evidently remembered are not accurate, at least according to media reports.

But she has said one her lifelong friends was at the party--one of two girls at a party of five. Ford says she locked herself in the bathroom and then disappeared from the party. Her good girlfriend didn't notice and never inquired after her--even though Ford somehow had to travel 12 miles to her house when she was below driving age?

WRT #2 - what do you mean by your statement? Her roommate didn’t know about the event. First she heard about it was when Ford asked her if she had ever said anything to her.
WRT #3 - yes, not recalling and not attending are different statements. She also said she doesn’t know Kavanaugh. A pretty definitive statement.

Republicans support a President who made 4,229 false or misleading claims in his first 558 days in office. Now we're to believe that they're hyper interested in the truth. They deny Merrick Garland any process at all. Now we're to believe that they're interested in due process. They nominate a guy who asked Ken Starr to interrogate Bill Clinton about his ejaculate but now we're to believe that they're interested in treating people respectfully. F*ck off.

He can go first and last. It'd be a sloppy investigation if you told a suspect everything you knew before getting a statement from him.
