It was powerful and sad. Too bad the GOP members who worship Reagan won’t consider the words of his daughter who experienced the same victimization as Christina Blasey Ford. |
Yes we are Controlling your supreme soviet from St. Petersburg. |
How would we know that? Seriously, why should we believe Ford? Why believe Kavanaugh? Apart from your political team, why? |
So if I claim you hit my car but you deny it, and the 4 people I say were there don’t recall you hitting it, you are ok with your insurance paying for it on my word alone right? |
Dr. Ford's mental state is at the center of it. She has been seeing therapy several times over the years. Do we know what the counseling was for? Her college roommate at UNC, best friend and ridesmaid, Piwowarski told Ford that she never told her this story ever. Her best friend from Horton, Leland Keyser, told congress she doesn't know Kavanaugh, and never attended such a party even though Ford named her being at the party. |
Of course pp cannot cite a source because she is making it up. Fact: Not one Republican even knew about the existence of the letter until it was leaked, yes LEAKED by someone on the Democratic side. Fact: The letter had the name redacted prior to being sent to the WH. So, only the Democrats who had seen the letter knew the name. |
What was the purpose of Ford making an anonymous allegation she did not want used to a senator who was under no circumstance going to vote for Kavanaugh? |
Don't leave out the most important fact of the case -- all this happened over 30 years ago. |
You’re way behind the news cycle. Keep up. |
Embracing ford is a big mistake and trivializes sex assault.
This was addresses long time ago by author Aesop, in a story, the girl who cried wolf. |
I have asked this question numerous times. What did SHE expect the outcome to be? I hope they ask her this in the hearing, if she attends. |
There is a passage in the original WaPo story that revealed Ford's name that appears to have gone unnoticed. Right below the paragraph that says the incident came out in a couples' therapy session in 2012 there is this: "Notes from an individual therapy session the following year, when she was being treated for what she says have been long-term effects of the incident, show Ford described a “rape attempt” in her late teens." Age 15 would not be described as "late teens." This could be another transcription error on top of the it was two boys, not four, but still this remains curious. Could Ford have had a troubling incident in her late teens--say, when she was college age--and this is what has led to her reported ongoing trauma? That is, the two exit doors to her bedroom, the reluctance to fly, etc? |
Interesting. Not only that, but the same article said there were 4 boys there. Now, we learn 3 boys and 1 other girl. The WaPo has not corrected the story, so I assume they had the information correct as it was given to them. There are way too many conflicting “facts” and unknowns to have confidence that this story is accurate. |
"There is no den in the wide world to hide a rogue. Commit a crime and the earth is made of glass. Commit a crime, and it seems as if a coat of snow fell on the ground, such as reveals in the woods the track of every partridge, and fox, and squirrel."

Lovely. I love Emerson. Your point? |
