Palestine or Palestina is a Roman name. The area was already called Palestine since romans got there.

It was never called Israel back then. It was called Judea and the common day people never spoke Hebrew. They spoke aramaic which sounds suspiciously like Palestinian Arabic and Assyrian today

Where is the hatred toward Jewish people?

Pointing out Netanyahu supported Hamas and quoting Israeli news sites and his own quotes is not hate speech.

If anything, this is a warning that Netanyahu has to go if Hamas is going to go with him.

I believe that all innocent lives should be protected, non-Jew and Jew alike. But I don’t put any group on a pedestal above others, which you (or the PP) clearly do.

I don’t see a response to the question asked, which seems reasonable based on that frightening lack of regard for the lives of innocent men, women, and (especially) children.

Since Israel has refused to provide full citizenship to the indigenous people who were displaced and now live in the Gaza and West Bank concentration camps, how do you propose to resolve the status of that 4-5 million group if you insist on blocking establishment of a state? The name of the state is irrelevant. But what’s your plan to resolve their status displaced refugees?

They refuse to realize how inhumane they seem to everyone else. Did six million Jews not exist because Israel wasn’t a real country yet? Did native Americans not exist because it wasn’t a real country? What does human pain and suffering and being traumatized with PTSD from war have to do with being a nation? Israel did steal the “land without people” for a “people without a land”.

Did Jews not exist before May 15, 1948? This is how foolish their argument sounds about Palestinians not existing because the state didn’t exist. Well, no shit Sherlock it was a British and ottoman protectorate before that.

Notably, communism still existed till the late 90s even though the Nazis wanted to get rid of that and unfairly blamed Jews for it.

I suspect razing Gaza to the ground and making it a parking lot won’t even end Hamas. It will last another four decades based on this war of annihilation Israel is doing. Terrorists fuel is war and violence and extremism is more of an idea than a land. Keep in mind many top rank Hamas don’t even live in Gaza but Qatar, Turkey, or other places and Israel for some reason is not pressuring for arrest from authorities for actual Hamas but instead is worried about American protestors and free speech.

They don’t realize Hamas set them up. That’s a trap to get the US/Americans to turn on Israel by playing thought police and authoritarian to American college kids. Hamas wants Israel to fall to the stereotype and foment divisions between the U.S. and Israeli alliance.

Instead of focusing on ending Hamas’ funding from Qatar and getting their actual corrupt moneyed ex pats living in luxury in Qatar, Israel is focused on killing random Gazans including their own refugees sadly along with doxxing American universities.

Last month, student protesters at University of California, Irvine sued the school regents and chancellor for suspending them without any notice or a chance to present evidence in their defense. On Tuesday, plaintiffs in the suit filed a motion to ask the Superior Court of California to step in.

The five students are asking the court to force the school to halt the suspensions and allow students to resume their studies, register for fall classes, go back to campus jobs, and regain access to campus housing.

More than 3,000 people were arrested during brutal police crackdowns on campus protests this year, according to a protest tracker developed by The Appeal. UCI is still an outlier — it’s one of the only schools in the country that issued interim suspensions banning students from campus before they had a chance to respond. The university’s approach was, a representative for the students said, unprecedented.

That’s outrageous — that’s not how due process is supposed to work,” said Thomas Harvey, an attorney representing the students in the suit. “They seem to be punishing our clients with a method that not only is unprecedented in UCI’s use in terms of responses to protests or student conduct issues, but also it stands out as unusual among the entire UC system.”

Students suspended at UCI this spring received notices from the school that listed no specific allegations against them but said they were present at protests where the school claimed that violations of campus policy had allegedly occurred.

The students said they were not given an opportunity to have a hearing on the claims against them or to present evidence in their defense before the suspension went into effect. Students who received the suspension notices were told that they could not attend classes in person or online, access student housing, or be on campus at all, effective immediately.

Interim suspensions have never been used in this way at UCI or at any other schools in the UC system, said Harvey, the plaintiffs’ attorney.

Hope UCI has to pay a boatload and fire Howard Gillman. All the Trustees need to be fired and personally be held responsible for this anti American and illegal actions.
