Why is Blake Lively so overrated?

Yes, Blake should go to friend jail

What were they talking about, anyway? I can't remember. Was it really something that could not have waited until she was out if body makeup or whatever?

If you are uncomfortable talking to someone with your back turned, why not wait until she's dressed? It seems like that would be the obvious answer to keeping it professional. Also she was topless for a legitimate work reason, not just for fun.

I think we have all been in weird situations at some point we didn’t like, but then someone insisted it was fine and we didn’t want to make it weirder by saying no. Boundaries can be very tricky, so in this nudity at work context I imagine it’s even harder to navigate.

I have never been in a situation where a colleague had to change clothes or do something private where I didn't have the presence of mind to say, "actually let's have this conversation when you are done, I'll wait outside." Like even if they suggested I just turn around, I'd probably still just say I'll wait.

There are many scenarios where girls and women feel harrassed even though the men have very different intentions and think they are doing something else and are upset at being told that what they are doing is harrassment.

I think her scenario is similar. For example with Heath in her trailer. She had asked him to turn around and keep his back to her but then her top slipped and she looked up and he was looking at her. Was he intentionally trying to get a look at her breasts - likely not, but he didn't feel the need to have his back turned as she had requested.

But this puts Jamey in a tough situation. If he had said, I understand we need to meet, but you are in your trailer getting makeup off and about to breast-feed, I don’t want either of us to be in an awkward situation so why don’t you just meet me after?

The headline would have been, Hollywood is impossible for women! Poor Blake is trying to run three companies and star in a movie and breastfeed! She should be able to multitask and have a meeting! But Jamey heath insisted that she come to his office!

I’m sorry if she felt uncomfortable, but she helped create that situation.

He didn't need to do anything but keep his back turned as requested. Why did he turn around despite being asked not to?
Another poster's idea to have brainstormed this and put a curtain up would also seem to be a good way to do it but at that moment the solution to preserve her privacy was that he keep his back to her.

Women often help create situations in which they are harrassed or assaulted. I am not sure that means they asked for it. I am not sure her request that he come but keep his back turn - which it seems he agreed to, means that it was okay for him to turn and look at her (which happened to be at a moment her top slipped).

I don’t think looking at someone by accident at the minute their top slips is harassment. It’s pretty unnatural to talk to someone while facing away, and impossible to know the top would slip. I also don’t think it means she was trying to provoke anything. Sometimes uncomfortable situations just happen.

But she had asked him to keep his back turned. So it wasn't by accident. He didn't do as he was asked - why we don't know but he made the decision to turn and look at her despite her requesting privacy by having him keep his back turn. She probably thought she was 'safe' if her top slipped because his back would be turned so to look up and see him looking at her at that moment would make many people feel uncomfortable or unsettled. I am surprised by the responses on here about these kinds of things given how threads usually go about men not respecting women's privacy or space or requests related to their body or privacy.

I think in a thread where a poster asked her FIL or BIL to turn his back while she breastfed and then when her top slipped she looked up to find him looking at her, the responses wouldn't be all supporting the FIL or BIL and blaming the poster.

It's not policing to note that Taylor Swift is very careful with her image. That's a fact.

Where does it say that her top slipped?

You are right. It says topless.

Blake's complaint
"Rather than an ordinary meeting time and place,
Mr. Heath arrived unannounced at Ms. Lively’s hair and makeup trailer while she was topless and
having body makeup removed by makeup artists. Ms. Lively told Mr. Heath that she was almost
done and they could meet once she was clothed. Mr. Heath, however, insisted that if she did not
allow him into her trailer to speak to him at that moment, then there would be no meeting with the
other producers. Ms. Lively reluctantly agreed, but asked that Mr. Heath keep his back turned. A
few minutes into the conversation, Ms. Lively noticed that Mr. Heath was staring directly at her
while she was topless. When she called him out, Mr. Heath brushed it off as a habit of wanting to
look at a person while speaking to them."

Justin's complaint
"Heath was invited into her trailer for a meeting at her request while she was having makeup
removed from her collarbone because she was not able to meet at another time. Her nanny, makeup
artist, and assistant were present, and Lively was not topless, as she claims elsewhere, but was
fully covered while either nursing or pumping breast milk. In this instance, he was instructed to
turn away while they spoke and respectfully did so, while they figured out a time to meet with the
other producers standing just outside the door and as Heath pleaded with Lively to have the
meeting the next morning to avoid her getting home late and losing shoot time the following day.
While it is possible he inadvertently made eye contact at one point, he does not recall. Lively later
mentioned he did, and it made her uncomfortable, to which he responded, “I’m so sorry, I really
didn’t realize.” Lively responded, “I know you weren’t trying to cop a look,” and they moved on."

Given there were three other people there in the trailer, it shouldn't be too hard to establish if she was topless and reluctantly agreed after being presssured or if she was fully covered and initiated the request herself and invited him to come into her trailer.

It seems her assistant or nanny was almost always with her so quite a few things should be verifiable with a third party.

I find it hard to believe heath was wandering around and went in unannounced to Blake’s make up trailer. Doesn’t he have an assistant likely to schedule these meetings? Why would he want to be in there with Blake‘s nanny and assistant? Blake wanted to multitask which I totally understand. She probably wanted to get her make up removed and breast-feed and have a meeting with Jamie so she could get the hell home to her kids. It felt like to me that they were trying to accommodate her there, but who knows.

Reading between the lines it sounds like there had been a previous discussion about a meeting time and they hadn't come to an agreement. It seem Blake wanted to have the meeting later when she was done and Heath wanted it in the morning (as the other producers weren't staying until she was done) and this was a follow up conversation to finalize the time. Based on Justin's complaints, this was more about the filming schedule, not about accommodating her. I am not sure how he knws for sure she was covered if he never remembers looking at her. This one should be easy to clear up though given they both agree there were multiple other people present.

I agree. I felt this was likely from the start - I’ve seen Lively be really bchy and mean to nervous interviewers and I refuse to accept cluelessness as the complete answer for her plantation wedding and trying to make loving the antebellum South a thing. She’s an ahole and at this point, a substantiated liar.

I love the antebellum architecture and love many people who are from and still live in the South. You are a bigot.
