“Iran claims to have captured American troops. If true - this war just went to a whole new level.“ |
We had boots on the ground already,? |
Probably an early infiltration or reconnaissance team. |
Saw this on a credible news source on X as well. |
US is denying troops were captured. |
Yes. Israel and US special forces have been on the ground for a while. This was scheduled for two weeks ago before the state of the union. Weather prevented the operation starting on that date. Think about that and all the all the US citizens stranded in the Middle East. The Iranian population has turn against the US after all the civilian bombing and threats to arm foreign groups like the Kurds. Special Ops are good but if everyone is looking for you and there are no friendly civilians your odds go way down. Who known if they captured an American. It would be strange if it was just one. They work in teams. Does it really change anything? You think republicans are going to be concerned about US prisoners of war? Did you how cavalier both Trump and Pete Hegseth were about deaths of US civilians and US troops? The Israelis didn’t even care about their own civilians hostages. |
Well they either have someone or they don’t. Operations will continue. If they do have someone they will release a video and families will know he or she is alive. |
Oh my sweet summer child. Laughs in Vietnam/Afghanistan/etc etc |
God I cannot stand the utter stupidity of the blob. Of course US troops would be captured. WTF did you guys think was happening? a game of Call of Duty? |
So, confirmation it’s true. |

I want to refute some lies being put out here. Either some people are uneducated or deliberately lying. Since we are in DC, I guess the latter.
1. Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Nonproliferarion Treaty (NPT). 1A. Israel is NOT a signatory to the NPT 2. Iranian nuclear facilities have been inspected since 2015 by the IAEA (international atomic energy agency). Sites have continuous cameras and sensors. 2b. Israel has NEVER been inspected by the IAEA. President Kennedy was the only and last US President to demand inspections at Dimona, Israel’s nuclear facilities. After he died the US never asked Israel. 3. On January 15, 2026 an earthquake was registered near Dimona, Israel where the 90-400 nuclear weapons are. Most likely a test. 4. Israel has a nuclear triad. This mean it can deliver nuclear weapons by missiles, jets and submarines. |

“ The savagery of the US attack on Iran is notable for the fact that this brutality is not being reported in the Western controlled media, where there is too much talk of 'precision' and not enough about the civilians who are being hammered.
But, as I hear from Tehran, the morale of the people remains high. They do not want to return to the Shah. They do not want to go back before 1979. Whatever they want, they do not want the US and Israeli bombs. To paraphrase Nina Simone, Israel-America Goddam.” -Vijay Prashad |
DP. Good luck with that. 10,000 troops are a drop in the bucket in Iran and the US military drones are obsolete. The Ukrainians have been telling nato that for 3 years now. Maybe a few of the special ops units have been experimented with drones. The rest of the US military have not been trained in the new drone war environment. Also US military units undergo extensive, mandatory pre-deployment training (often 1–6 months) before deploying. I guess that is now no more. What could go wrong? I do not know how you get the 10th mountain to Iran. They are not airborne. If troops are deployed there may be a lot of casualties because the Iranians have a boat load of drones, IED, etc. The Iranians supplied a lot of the stuff used against US forces in Afghanistan and Iraq for the past 20 plus years. We got out a$$ kicked in in Afghanistan. Thats not even a country just a bunch of war lords producing opium. The US military has been very lucky. The Venezuela operation was very close to going tits up. The majority of the population in Iran are hostile to the US. It’s a huge country with everything from rain forests, mountains, desert, etc. The US would win but what follows would be really bad. |
If Iran had a nuclear weapon the US and Israel would not have attacked them. Wonder if other countries will learn this lesson? |
