Yes. Israel and US special forces have been on the ground for a while. This was scheduled for two weeks ago before the state of the union. Weather prevented the operation starting on that date. Think about that and all the all the US citizens stranded in the Middle East.

The Iranian population has turn against the US after all the civilian bombing and threats to arm foreign groups like the Kurds. Special Ops are good but if everyone is looking for you and there are no friendly civilians your odds go way down.

Who known if they captured an American. It would be strange if it was just one. They work in teams. Does it really change anything? You think republicans are going to be concerned about US prisoners of war? Did you how cavalier both Trump and Pete Hegseth were about deaths of US civilians and US troops? The Israelis didn’t even care about their own civilians hostages.[/quote]
