New Additions to Leagues Check Up (ECNL & GA)

GA Champions cup had 100s and 100s of scouts.

All the biggest universities you could think of. What more do you want?

lol, that's just not true! how many of those GA players received offers??

champions cup in florida last month had 117 D1. 10+ drop from last year and 20+ drop from the year before.

striking out each leagues lowest attendance GA's Spring showcase )(NC) and ECNL Spring Showcase (Florida), the GA champions cup has the lowest amount of D1 attendance. really sad. we will see how the summer showcase pans out.

ga really needs more showcase but I don't see that happening as it would further dilute coaches coming with so many ECNL showcases

Watching these people fight really shows who has and has not gone through the process before.

All the hate against GA only shows they are doing something right.

The ECNL hats are nervous + lashing out.

No worries, GA will just keep adding clubs around the big ECNL clubs so they have nobody to poach talent from and are forced to develop their own.

I always laugh at you parents that talk about talent being poached. So funny.

Poaching talent is the opposite of watering down.

Girls ECNL parents like that they've been able to pick off the best players from all the clubs around them that don't have girls ECNL.

Now that GA is bringing on clubs left and right there's less clubs for ECNL to recruit from. This creates the situation that ECNL hats call watering down of the available players. What's really going on is that ECNL clubs don't want to invest the resources in developing younger players.

As for the younger teams, maybe GA starts closing the gap in 3-5 years, but just look at the showcases and how many college coaches are attending ECNL events v GA events....or just look at college placement of D1 players, not even close.

those who know, know...not saying GA isn't bad or looking to expand, but check the soccer app and look at how many GA teams across the country are in the top 100....maybe 10 nationally per age group and they are not from this area.

Not true. D is weighing offers from GA and ECNL teams. Coaching, location, etc does matter. Dont think it’s smart to choose a team just because it’s ECNL. I could understand why someone would choose being on a playoff caliber GA team vs being on a mid/bottom level ECNL team.

the 5 ecnl teams that left for GA are seeing players flee to ecnl teams. the rest of the new teams joining GA , lmao having top level players for ECNL to "pick off" from these9 teams ranked 203-1161

lmao. if your daughter doesn't play on a Champions Cup or playoff GA, coaches are not running to watch them. you attend an ECNL showcase you get a good turnout to your games no matter what team you are. just facts.

No they're not.

And what does it say about ECNL teams that players can be replaced with GA players at any time?

And the same is true for ECNL events.

If your kid is not playing on a top 30 club you're not getting the same visability with recruiters.

No recruiter in the history of time has ever said "Wow look how good that team is at losing. I should recruit their players."

Just dumb.

We agree, I think. Right now you have to be a Champions Cup/Playoff GA team to get the same exposure as a top/mid level ECNL team. Sorry bottom level GA teams. All that being said, the girls need to perform and get on coaches radar. When invited to College ID session, coaches won’t give a crap at that point.
