Very notable that there's no input from Christine Banfield's family and no indication that the reporter tried to contact them, contacted them and they refused.

Still a whole lot of holes in the story. I can't believe Magalhaes has not flipped. I posted earlier in this thread that I think Banfield intended for Magalhaes to carry this out on her own or for her to be the only one firing a gun, but something went wrong. What is still a huge mystery is who stabbed Christine Banfield. Because I don't think it was Joe Ryan.

I don't think Magalhaes really understands how much trouble she is in. I think a jury is likely to convict her. The new phones plus the fact that she and Brian Banfield brought the little girl INTO THE HOUSE are very, very bad facts for her.

Given that the husband has not been charged let alone convicted, is there anything police or Virginia can do to keep him from purchasing or otherwise acquiring another firearm? I live in the neighborhood and have seen BB on numerous occasions. His totally deadpan, expressionless face belying an inherent violence has me concerned about neighborhood safety. Especially after the very public WP article which may just push him over the edge. Generally speaking I have a very, very high opinion of Fairfax Police, but are they playing a game trying to entrap him while he presents a clear danger to our safety?

This makes me think of the Dan Markel murder case, where the wife is still free, but they have been convicting others involved, one by one. The wife's mother has now been arrested, and with each trial, a bit more information comes out that will hopefully, eventually give enough evidence to convict the wife.

I wonder if they are doing something similar with the au pair and BB - will use info from her trial (assuming he will testify also) to convict him later on.

She texted him the photo. It was in the article. Read it.

And that detail in and of itself is not that odd. Let's say BB was orchestrating this setup, Christine tries on a new swimsuit, and he wants the photo for the profile, so he tells her something like "hey you look hot in that photo, can you send it to me?"

I’m concerned with the amount of forensic experts that have been subpoenaed. Meaning I worry that this is not an open and shut case. It’s gonna take quite a bit of convincing.

Neighbor here. I have seen him so many times walking around the neighborhood after the incident and every single time, he is on his phone not paying attention to his daughter/dog.
