Fairfax County Double Murder

I just started following this case so sorry for the dumb question but how did Ryan end up in the bedroom? He knocks and someone lets him in and he goes up? If he wasn't invited by Christine, how did he get so far as the bedroom?

Door was left wide open, unlocked (intentionally) by the au pair as she originally left the house before "realizing" she had forgotten the packed lunches.

Has there been any mention of security cameras? I'm assuming they had at least a doorbell camera.

No doorbell camera at Banfield residence. Residence on the immediate other side of the pipe stem had a doorbell camera which was not working (!!!). Police did obtain other doorbell camera footage from other houses along Stable Brook which captured car traffic but not anyone's direct entry or exit from the Banfield house.

Yes, presumably the fake fetish account had proposed a scenario where he is "pretending" to be an intruder. So the poor guy walked into a trap, thinking he was fulfilling someone's kinky fantasy.

I'm just guessing, of course, but it's what makes sense to me.

Interesting that Christine send the swimsuit pic to her husband, then moments later her fake profile went online. This was news and all part of the timeline.

I miss my friend Joe. He was a good guy.

-PP whose pictures with Joe are somewhere in this thread.

Did the husband get access to her email and send the photo to himself? That was an odd detail.

She texted him the photo. It was in the article. Read it.

None of this explains how he got up to the bedroom, why she was naked, when/how she was stabbed and by whom.

This looks suspicious:

When authorities worked to untangle what brought Ryan to the Banfield home, they discovered that, within eight days of the killings, both Magalhães and Brendan Banfield got new phones. The au pair created a new iCloud account, and the husband deleted his account activity, a search warrant affidavit states.

Exactly. The timing is strong evidence of his guilt. That’s extremely odd.

Agree. Who does that? Makes no sense. And they did it at same time. Super weird.
