This is a thread about a tragedy that occurred, no? So if friends of the deceased family are upset that people or a person is speaking about the tragedy to the media, then I think they have a right to express that on this thread, as unfortunately it has now become part of the story. I don't want to bash anyone and definitely was not one of the people bashing the housekeeper. I am aware though that the family had asked for their friends not to speak to the media so I can understand how having private things your mother said aired on TV (even if they were nice things) could feel like a betrayal and feel upsetting.

No, the woman is not "part of the story". The story is 4 people being brutally murdered and a dangerous fugitive at large. A bunch of childish bickering about someone who did a single interview that virtually nobody will remember a day from now is simply irritating and does nothing to respect the memories of the deceased.

I'm having a hard time thinking about how scared this family must have been, especially their fears for their ten year old son's safety. A truly heinous crime.

This is the worst part, and probably what affected us all.

I do too. He must have had--if not others who participated in the murders and the rest of the ordeal--at least someone who knew he was going to do this/someone who provided transportation to the home or information about the family or something. The motive other than $$ could be revenge/anger at having been fired/having a relative who was fired or perhaps he committed this crime simply because he is a seriously deranged and sick person, a psychopath even...it certainly sounds that way.

To your other question about only 40K being delivered, maybe that's the most cash that S could get at one time without raising suspicion.
or maybe that's just the most cash SS could get at one time period. It's not really easy or even maybe possible to access that much cash in only a few hours' time.

Agree. I don't think most every day people realize this, or have any reason to know this.

Everyday people? But I would assume they could clearly articulate the reason why or why not. I really don't think cash was a motive.

All cash transactions of 10k or above are required to reported to the government in the ordinary course of business. It's about tax evasion not real time identification of extortion. Separately, when I wanted to withdraw 25k after 9/11 just to have in a safe in the event of a major crisis in DC, the bank required 3 days notice, because THEY don't keep lots of cash living around. I assume in this case the company keeps some cash on hand to pay labor, deal with occasional COD supplies. Surprisingly to me, I was actually questioned about this 10 years later in a security clearance renewal.

I think that girlfriend has committed a crime. She knew he was wanted when he went to her place. After they get him they should go back and collect her.

Nope. 'stick' as you put it no longer available--(maybe on some lower end models for another year or two). Paddle shifters now.

Cabriolet has pop up rollbar and plenty of stiffness.

I would think his chances of being in jail rest of life are 100% so why not try to run? I can't see him getting out after only 30 yes because he turned himself in and cooperated

agree..he's going to run as long as he can

I believe his incentive is he has three children. They will grow up under this umbrella of their father's acts. Although horrific perhaps he can still be there for them to show them what not to do. Make better choices, etc. Children still end up loving their parent no matter the circumstances.

My guess the crime being solved will help the S children as well. We do not know if he acted alone. Perhaps the authorities already do.

If he has one ounce of true love for his kids, he will turn himself in.

Omg. Hilarious.

On his Facebook page, which may not be up now, there was a picture of a two-three yr old girl with the caption "if you want one this cute, holla at me" or so,etching like that

Yeah, sounds like an upstanding dad alright.

Ugh! What does that even mean? Such a loser.

It was no surprise to me that the machete and bb gun were plea bargained to drinking in public.

As a victim of a grand theft auto, I spent a day in a criminal courthouse in Baltimore. Probably 40 cases were handled in one day.....every single one was plea bargained. All those poor people in jail for majiujuana possession in Maryland is nonsense. All the possession quilt pleas I saw that day ignored the heroin, meth, and weapons they had as well.....the only one that was not released on time served awaiting trial was my car thief. He got 3 years.....because it was his 52nd felony charge.

Maryland is a joke putting away bad actors.....but am glad here they were a pioneer in collecting DNA
