The Official Jill Biden Style and Fashion Thread

The Jackie k shot is really interesting—very different from her usual cultivated image as fashionable mom/dutiful wife. This is sort of an edgy, professional woman kind of look for her.
I like the Eleanor Roosevelt shot—her face looks happy and relaxed which is not common for her pictures. Yes, the dress is fancier than what she is famous for, but I kind of love that as well. It’s so well known that she was insecure about her looks and her fashion sense so it’s kind of great to see her looking comfortable in a glam silk gown. You go, Eleanor.! I love her so much and am constantly learning things about her that make me respect her more. Would sort of love to read an account of the photo shoot.

Obviously we all know she didn’t get this because she looks good (she doesn’t). She has the right politics. Well good for her I guess. Looks won’t get you everywhere in life and they didn’t get her to Vogue.

Did you know that Pat Nixon, Betty Ford, Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush, and Laura Bush, none of whom were particularly at the forefront of fashion, but all of whom were married to Republican presidents, were also on the cover of Vogue?

This…isn’t true at all lol. Laura nor Barbara were on the cover of Vogue. Anna Wintour has been atleast honest about her liberal bias… you on the other hand sound like clown.

Why are you so butthurt about this?

You were owned and now asking why PP is the one “butthurt”? Who even talks like that.

Owned? Your precious Melania is the one without a single Vogue cover.

I couldn't care less who is or isn't on the cover of Vogue, I am a millenial and don't think I've ever looked through a Vogue magazine in my life (are magazines even still around? I think only 40 y/o+ think they're still a thing). All I care about is being pro-women and given Vogue's track record of not having a woman with the right initial after her name on the cover in over 35 YEARS they're clearly not pro-women and that's all I need to know.

I think she looks really pretty. As a side note, Laura Bush looks really stunning in her picture. And Michelle is just phenomenal.

Laura Bush looks like a boss with that pose. I love the black velvet feel to Clinton’s portrait and think she looks good.

It was fun to see the First Lady who is photographed in a similar spot as Biden. Haha. I recognize that one but can’t place her. Maybe Nixon?

At first, I loved Kennedy’s portrait. It says, “I’m sculpting my brand.” But I think that angle is not the best for her wide face.

Poor Roosevelt. Her white dress is bagging and folding in a weird way. Not really a great pose.

Obama looks good.

It was fun to see these all together!

First Ladies in Vogue

Hillary looks so great.
So Melania wasn’t asked to be in Vogue?

What beautiful shots. Yeah, Hillary--I don't think I've ever seen her look so good. She's usually not photogenic at all.

It’s amazing what editing, photoshop, air brushing or whatever they used back then can do.

It’s because republicans aren’t pro-women. Pretty simple really.

I could be wrong but I think the Jackie Kennedy pic was her as a young schoolgirl, not yet an adult woman and certainly not during her time as first Lady.

Attractive but I can't listen to a word she says with that AWFUL South Jersey accent. That is my ancestral homeland. Its similar to David Beckham and his Minnie Mouse voice.

Another awful floral old lady dress. And this one makes her look fat! Enough with the floral tablecloth, bed spread look! She seriously has zero style.

Wow, Jill is absolutely gorgeous. This dress is perfection!

That dress is hideous. And it looks like she got into the Christmas ribbon box with the red bow tied at her waist. Just what is she thinking with these get ups.

+1

Dress is too much. Would have been better as a blouse or shirt. The ribbon is hilarious.

But you know what? It doesn't matter!! What she wears doesn't matter. Promoting vaccines and the health of the nation looks very stylish right now!
