I don’t think the Va Governor race will impact whether I live in a democracy.

of course it does. because if republicans win back VA, they see it as a win for their way of doing things and will continue to push their bigoted and authoritarian crap in all states and into the 2022 and 2024 elections. they will keep doubling down on the big lie and will probably overturn the next election if given the chance.

you think it doesn't matter, but you bet your behind it does

which is why we absolutely cannot reward this party with our votes just because things didn't go great this year in local schools

DP, but willing to give it a shot. Disgusted with the Democrats on the Fairfax County School Board and Board of Supervisors and the worst thing is I voted for many of them. Not making that mistake again.

I’m sick of the Democratic Party promoting crap candidates and then turning around and chastising with “oh but you’d rather vote for the racists”.

It was all over the place with regards to the Presidential election. And yes we had a crap option or Trump.

Every election now is Bad vs Worse. Our country has completely gone down the tubes.

I held my nose to vote for Biden but it’s not happening again beyond that.

There needs to be checks and balances, there needs to be diversity of thought, there needs to be balance. It’s never going to be a perfect balance, but there needs to be some balance. Going too far on either side brings out the crazies.

There’s a pretty diverse slate of candidates for the Virginia Democratic nomination and everyone but my mother ran as a D for President. There are lots of options.

Please stop being dense.

Yes, we throw out everyone and anyone for the primary.

It’s always the same old recycled crap that ends up being the final candidate.

Diversity of thought? Is that what you call denying the outcome of an election?

Get bent

Racially diverse group of Democrats running for Governor but McClellan is the only one I can stand (she’s not a phony like McAuliffe, running only on her race and gender like Carroll Foy, not an alleged sexual abuser like Fairfax, and not a Bernie Bro like Carter). Depresses the hell out of me she seems to be in third place and will vote for Youngkin if sleazy hypocrite McAuliffe buys the D nomination.

A national group has written the anti voting and anti protest laws that Republican state legislatures are passing around the country. Just like ALEC wrote right wing laws before. All of that nonsense will come to VA if you elect Republicans. As Liz Cheney said, their denial of the legitimacy of the 2020 election is anti democratic and a threat to our country. Being mad at a local school board is not justification for electing Republicans to state or federal office. Vote Republican in the 2023 school board election if you’re angry with the current school board.

Quit the theatrics with the ‘would be’ nonsense.

Trump is out. Move on.

We don’t need be constantly bombarded with this rhetoric that voting off the party line is some sort of treason and automatically brands us as Trumpers.

Keeping up this hysteria will only guarantee a Republican president next go around.

I’m angry at the School Board but also think McAuliffe is a sleazy hypocrite (like our local School Board member). It’s not an either/or proposition and I’m sorry that as Democrats we can’t seem to nominate decent candidates.

^ at the local/state level. I’m fine with Biden.

So now we are quoting the spawn of Darth Cheney as if she is some sort of moral beacon? She falls in the same category as Mitt Romney and the people involved with the Lincoln Project: people we like now because they don’t like the former President

For the record, the last thing we need is Terry McAuliffe back in control of anything.

So many better D options, and if one of them fails to beat McAuliffe in the primary, I can live with Youngkin for 4 years
