It's the Economy Stoopid

Trump and the GOP broke the natural cycle of decreasing deficits during economic expansion with his tax cuts. Goodbye century of American prosperity.

That isn't "jobs created" it is some of the 13 million going back to work. It is good news, but let's look behind the curtain.

-3.4 million now say they are on permanent layoff, up from 2.9 million in July.
-Temporary Census work (+238,000 jobs) accounted for around one sixth of the August gain of 1.4 million jobs
-The number of unemployed persons fell by 2.8 million to 13.6 million. This is still 7.8 million higher than in February.
-The labor force participation rate increased by 0.3 percentage point to 61.7% in August but is 1.7 percentage points below its February level.
-A separate survey showed total nonfarm payroll employment was below its February level by 11.5 million.

So a mixed report heading in the right direction. We won't get a full recovery until there is leadership around getting the virus under control. Trump has been clear he has no interest or ability to do that, opting instead to sacfrice lives and jobs until there is a vaccine.

In actuallity 4.1 million jobs created offset by 2.7 million jobs lost equals 1.4 million net jobs added.

Imagine if these democratic run cities open up? There would be 2 to 4 million of new jobs created every month until the end of the year.

You keep using the word "create" - these aren't new jobs. They are people going back to work. There is a difference.

There were over 5 million new jobless claims in August.

The number of people who are "permanently" unemploymened (i.e. not on temporary furlough) was 167% HIGHER in August than in February.

And yes 167% higher means 2.7x.

And climbing.

That is....not good.

Americans know we had a 3.5% unemployment rate before the virus shut down the world. You call it replace yet others call it create. Doesn't matter the verbiage rather the V shape recovery continues despite efforts by those on the left slowing it down.

Just saying it over and over again won’t make it true.

"V shaped recovery"????

How is travel and tourism, restuarants and the whole hospitality sector supposed to recover without the virus being under control?
Store-front Retailers are getting killed, impacting landlords/property owners and thus banks.

Please do tell, how are these recovering?

It'll go with the invisible vaccine

And the invisible healthcare plan that Trump promised to reveal - what, a month ago?

My ballot for Joe Biden, however, is very real

Trump will just tell everyone that a V isn’t actually V-shaped. 35% of the country will believe him.
