This thread is about the Dranesville election. The One Great Falls/Voices of Fairfax clowns endorsed Tom Wilson, who opposed doing anything about the overcrowding at McLean and under-enrollment at Langley, so I sure as hell won’t vote for the Dranesville and at-large candidates they are endorsing. If you want to re-elect your idiot in Sully to another term, that’s on you. As far as I can he hasn’t done for that district. |
You are incorrect. I am pretty outspoken on this cause, and so SO many people have come to me privately and whispered that they will vote for the more conservative candidates this time around. |
Sure they are, Linda. |
As McLaughlin pointed out, they did it in Wake County. |
And, whether or not it was a success is highly questionable. |
That’s not Linda and that person is correct – signed a different life long dem in the same boat |
Discussing what happened in Wake County doesn’t mean FCPS has ever come close to following suit (for starters, Fairfax would have to combine its schools with DC and Arlington). |
| The Herndon, McLean and Marshall voters should outvote the obnoxious Langley Republicans. Same reactionaries rear their head every four years! |
If you think this is only about Langley, you are sadly mistaken. Those parents just brought attention to what has been going on. |
You mean keep the project momentum initiative going? Some of these things are like throwing out the baby with the bath water. They keep changing how things are done which just lowers expectations. I honestly don't think parents pay attention. |
Yes indeed. I believe the voters restored the board to a Democratic majority only two years later. Just saying, citizens can change the makeup of the board from 10-2 Dem to 10-2 Rep if we feel like it, and a few years later make it 12-0 Dem if we want to do that. |
They don't, and that's how the board likes it. Pretty sure the uproar in Howard county came about because their board was able to change the policy while no one was looking. They were blindsided. |
You think McLean wants its boundaries drastically redrawn and that Herndon is just itching to be remade? Why do you think so many McLean people have been demanding answers from the board and reprimanding them at public meetings? |

Interesting. And, yet, she purchased a house in the McLean school district. |
