I don't get around much but the DC region is the most up tight, anal retentive place I have ever been. Are there any other nominees?

We bought something off Craigslist and when I walked in, noticed they had shoes off so I politely asked if she would like me to take my shoes off. She said yes, I took them off. What I didn't get is her dirty carpets. It made no sense to me what-so-ever!

We always remove our shoes at the front door however I would NEVeR ask a guest to remove their shoes and have to walk barefoot around my house. I can always swiffer / wash the floors.. A small step so someone doesnt feel uncomfortable in my home.
