Baby stealing approved in South Carolina!

Law was created for people. Veronica has civil rights. To bend and manipulate the law until it violates civil rights isn't the rule of law, it is the definition of injustice. Veronica deserves justice.

+1,000

I'm in Charleston for work for several weeks and have been following the story as reported in the local papers. I completely agree with this. At first I "sided" with the adoptive parents; now I agree that they are only in this for themselves.

If you actually read everything and not the propoganda (on either side)
You will realize that these PRE-adoptive parents have no right to this child.
I have a relative in adoption, and thinks this is a travesty, but has seen it time and again where people use money and influence to circumvent the system to "procure" a child.
It is sick.

Agree with this. I think the adoption industry is very corrupt including things like the adoption tax credit which just caused a raise in fees. After going through the adoption process, never again. That family was wrong on every level. What is sad is there are far more families and shady professionals than there are good. It has completely ruined our adoption experience although we are grateful for out child. This is not anti-adoption but rather comments supporting dad as he deserves to have his daughter with him. No one deserves to have done to them what he has and is going through.

I am pro adoption, but anti-illegal, corruptive practices in adoption.

Justice?
She was born in Oklahoma and according to Oklahoma law she had a father whose consent was needed for the adoption. South Carolina says fathers do not have rights, Oklahoma says they do.
Who do you side with?

So it's okay for you to remark about others but no one can make a remark about you. Hypocritical asshole.

Since the father was fighting for his child since she was 4 months old, and the adoptive parents, birth mom and their legal and agency representatives lied, decieved and broke laws from the beginning of this case, I absolutely side with the father. Adoption is for kids who need homes, not for selfish, wealthy infertiles who think their money and ability to manipulate laws to suit their needs to take someone elses kid away.

+1. I usually like the pictures this poster post but this time I think her nasty comment lends no credence to her post. Don't insult people if you can't take it.

I posted the sock-puppet images - I'm not the person who posted "stick a sock in it a-hole." That said, there are definitely some reactionary, irrational anti-adoption people who keep posting the same exact comments and +1-ing themselves. It's obvious from their writing style.

There is a difference between anti adoption and anti fraud, deception and illegal practices in adoption. The latter is unfortunately rampant in this country.

Indiana Supreme Court ruling could pull twins from adoptive homehttp://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/jasper/indiana-supreme-court-ruling-could-pull-twins-from-adoptive

In this case I side with the adoptive parents.

In the baby Veronica case, I side with the Bio-dad.

The best interests of the child should always be taken into account. The ethics of the adoption should also be taken into account.

You are irrationally pro-adoption. Even if it harms the child and their birth family, even if it was done unethically and illegally. Did you adopt a child, were laws and procedures followed. Perhaps you have alot of guilt?! or need to justify what you have done!?

You have a lot of anger. Is there something in your past bothering you?

I would want to know more about the mother's situation and where she has been and what she has been doing for the past 8 years. She's had a long time to get her act together and that article did not state all the "facts." There is a lot more to that story.
