You seem awesome

Sometimes as the kids would say "you just gotta let them cook" when they're showing you how unhinged they are. |
I’m not the PP, but this was I’m sure directed at a troll who took over the thread yesterday. If you go back a few pages you’ll see that this level of dismissal was warranted. |
Sorry but what options are being discussed/debated here? |
It was directed at the looney tune that demanded an answer to his question multiple times. People ignored him which amplified his inner crazy for everyone to see. |
Omg, if people didn't respond to that looney tune demanding answers about the grades of the players on everybody's teams when they make a post then this thread about what offers are going to Aug to Dec players could live. But the grade troll has been fed and this thread is dead. |
| Love when the looney tune swears they are responding to the same person. It’s an anonymous message board that’s quite active, lol very silly and unhinged. For funzies th0…name a club- VDA |
| still no TSJ offer |
How many of the kids are in public school, private school and home schooled? Have you submitted school report cards from kids? |
I've watched people laying into someone else responding to something I posted and it's truly hilarious |
| With teams now formed at my kid's club, I can report that they tended to mostly move kids to their new age groups and keep them in their tier, doing almost no moving the older kids up a tier. Even with outside kids trying out, they only looked at kids for their same league tier. This next couple years will be very interesting as an RAE case study, as at least in two age groups I know, the top teams are going from extremely overweight (~75%) to extremely underweight (~15%) kids with birthdays in the first 5 months of the group (middle school groups). |
You’re saying that the two teams you know were heavily weighted towards Jan to May but are not now heavily weighted to August to December and they are middle school ages? That wouldn’t be surprising in RAE terms bc the Jan to May cohort has several years of being “advantaged” now and the effects are dynamic/feedback. Would be interesting to compare the birth month distribution in the first year or two of u-little where there shouldn’t be a historically accrued advantage. Some stats person should have a field day with thus. |
This is the exact opposite of what is happening at our club and the neighboring one out friend's kids play at. The only movement upward while staying at the updated age group next year is Aug-Dec bdays. Jan-Jul bdays are all staying the same team and even a few top team players being moved down a team with 'little if guest playing promised on the top team. The only people this is good for are end of year bdays. |
Yes, our club is implicitly taking the view that by middle school the age advantages have been locked in. If some other clubs race to grab all the new oldest kids, embracing more of a shuffle, we should be able to tell which is right for the purpose of winning, assuming one or the other will move up/down in relative standings in their leagues. From what I saw at tryouts and practices, there was a lot of overlap between top B team players from the year above with the bottom half of A team from the year below. With neither of the two groups being easy to identify as "better," they went with "status quo." |
| DD club for high school age prioritized aligning kids by when they graduated. Some of the Aug - Dec kids were offered RL spots for their grade and some offered to play on age but a grade down. Not a MA conference club. |
