We are in the opposite position - smaller club/team would definitely be better off with our daughter continuing to play up, but not sure it is best for her. We are going to check out other clubs. |
with GA sending RL equivalent players to IDs. Those call ups mean less and less. Welcome to the new world of competing leagues. Best hope is for PE to swoop in buy out and create standards may save it. |

It's been completely mishandled with horrible communication by our very large Virginia club. Feels like a sh!t game of musical chairs with every cheat, lie, fake and bias in play.
The snow melted a long time ago. Get yourself together. |
sheeesh name and shame. How have everyones DCs dealt with the now real changes in the upcoming season. Everything seems very surreal. |
|
My son’s club is pretending it’s business as usual…. Very wired. They haven’t discussed with anyone.
The new q3/4 parents are all trying to get FaceTime with new top team coaches and none have figured out they have no chance. Not a great environment. |
Can't name and shame in the middle of it all. Nothing good will come from that. But believe me, the sentiment is widespread. |
|
Its funny that this thread is happening.
Theres been people argueing about August-December birthdays playing on the correct grade in school team for over a year. Ridiculous that parents have to deal with US Soccer and Club ineptitude |
you can. Just dont break the 4th wall and you wont lose your roster spot. How are the coaches communicating? Is it even worth switching clubs if everyone is in the same boat. |
| Have any Q3 and Q4s gotten offers from a higher level team in the lower age group? |
bwahahahahahaha That goes against club interest I am curious to know this as well |
I’m guessing the previous posts are Arlington parents. Not one myself, but former teammates’ families have mentioned there are a lot of unhappy families. As an external observer, it’s hard to tell if the age group change or the significant interest in ID sessions (did you see those chaotic IG posts? I heard they had to just stop some of the age sessions because there were too many people to evaluate anyone) that is the real culprit. Probably depends on the age group… |

They won’t even let my 13 go to some 14 trainings…. Makes you wonder how they plan on handling.
|
Wait until some 13s are allowed to train with 14s and the parents go ballistic.

| She’s staying with her current team. Wasn’t given a choice. |
Can you explain how this goes against club interest? I legitimately do not understand, but I’m confident I’m missing something and you must be right. |
