I agree with everything else but it isn't true that they aren't deployed in Texas and Florida. They are in the top three for detentions. They are just doing it differently, not aggressively and on the street like in blue states. Their defense is because the red states "cooperate." Obviously they want to punish and terrorize blue states.

Republicans there complain about ICE raiding farms, construction sites, hotels, restaurants, etc. So there are not raids going there. It’s all a show base in lies.

I feel sick after watching that video. Yes, the man was in the middle of the street. Yes, a women was pushed and shoved violently out of the way by a CBP or ICE agent. Yes, the man was helping her get up and out of the way. The ICE or CBP agent began to pepper spray the man and then tackled him to the ground with a large grabbing him. And then shots are fired. James Carville said something interesting about what’s going to happen around the midterms. Seems a little far-fetched but at this point it feels like anything could happen.

It’s kind of extreme but I wouldn’t be surprised. I don’t think the admin expected that it was going to be ICE vs suburban White liberals when they were drafting up project 2025. The majority of POC are rightfully afraid to put themselves in front of federal agents or are just trying to wait the admin out. No matter what the admin does to try to trigger minority groups to protest, the majority won’t come outside to do it.

The amount of violence and shootings in Minneapolis has increased significantly since ICE showed up. By the numbers, ICE is clearly even worse than the people they were sent to deport.
