VHSL Boys 2024 Season (Discussion and Scores)

Oakton 10 - Woodson 4 - Final

Game was closer then score shows.

Oakton dominated first half and was up 6-1 at the half.

Woodson battled back and it was 6-4 oakton heading into the 4th.

Woodson had a man up with 7 mins left, score was still 6-4. They didn’t capitalize, and oakton had a few late EMO goals as Woodson ended up in the box out of desperation.

Is this a misprint? I thought it was 15-5!

How did that happen!? What happened?!

McLean had a very balanced attack with 7 players scoring. That being said Chantilly was a pretty weak team so hard to get a read on how good McLean is yet.

Madison won 90% of the faceoffs but their offense looked pretty weak. Not much movement or passing and just couldn’t capitalize on the possession advantage. Riverside moved the ball better and defense looked pretty solid. Obviously a pretty even game otherwise. Riverside scored with 20 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime and then got the job done.

Chantilly is awful. I'll be surprised if they win a game.

Sounds like a great game between the defending 5A and 6A state champs.

And not get the W is brutal. Is Riverside just that good in other facets of the game?

Obviously they are….
If their D1 commit Fogo plays and goes his normal 70 or even 50%, it’s not that close.
The good news is 3/22 Riverside vs Atlee should settle the VHSL lacrosse debate.
