I think McLean wins this one pretty easily. I’ll be interested to see if their offense can put up 13 goals though. |
I like Madison 11- Riverside 5
McLean 13- Chantilly 4 Yorktown 14 - Centreville 2 Hayfield 10 - South Lakes 8 Oakton 8- Woodson 7 |
I think you are close on all other than the last 2. South Lakes is returning all but 2 starters from last year and they were very competitive last year in 1 & 2 goal loses. They could have easily been 10-3. The only part of the game that they are out matched VS Hayfield is FO, I got SL 12 - Hayfield 7 Oakton losing Davis is a big loss but I still think they are returning enough to handle Woodson. If they can limit Woodson's middies then there's not much left and Oakton should be able to control the game; Oakton 11-5 |
Their second offensive middie will be key...he started out hot last season and then fizzled out. If he plays well they will have a strong 1-2 punch on offense. |
Anyone go to the Battlefield vs. Briar Woods Game. I thought it would have been closer, with BF winning. But, saw that it was 12-2 at halftime, which was surprising. |
Riverside 5 Madison 3 at the half |
McLean 5 Chantilly 2 |
Is this final or half time |
Half |
Madison 7 Riverside 6. 1 minute left and RS has the ball |

From what I heard, Briar Woods got out to a real slow start and also spent the majority of the second quarter a man down. BW closed the gap a bit in the second half, for a 13-7 final. It was also mentioned that Battlefield’s defense played as expected, and should give teams trouble this season. |
