My assumption is the Iranians have leverage that prompts us to negotiate and make concessions. It’s frustrating…and scary.

Despite being a pacifist, there’s a part of me that wonders if we’ve contemplated just obliterating them so we are no longer beholden to them.

It’s unfair to blame the Dems for how the US has handled Iran (now and historically). After all, there’s plenty of head-scratching behavior that has happened while Republicans were on watch.
