Liar. The only people complaining are the ones who received favoritism from the old principal.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Nor do you. Get over yourself, there has been ONE WEEK of school. Teachers have been back TWO WEEKS. Stop trying to stir up trouble and give the guy a chance. I will never understand people like you who are so scared of change.

Lol. You don’t know jack. The staff at Navy is not happy with the changes admin has made. In fact, several have complained openly out in public places.

DP. What specific changes are they not happy with?

I don’t have specific info but a lot of teachers got assigned to new grades on pretty short notice. The change in back to school night for at seemed to throw some of them too. They had to shorten their usual presentations by a lot and it was hard for them to cover all the important info in the time allotted. I don’t think that change would have been a big deal if more notice had been given.

But I’m sure the teachers will handle the changes like the professional adults they are. Everyone has to deal with an experience where they don’t love their new boss. Best to stay away from the people doing nothing but complaining. That can make the work environment get toxic pretty quickly.

LOL, how much "important info" is there to cover at back to school night, PP?

You can LOL all you want but that was the sentiment expressed by the teachers whose presentations I attended the other night. You don’t have to agree with it. Laughing at people who are flustered by last minute changes isn’t a great look but go for it. Lack of empathy towards teachers is going to work out well for all of us, I’m sure.

HOLD UP! So Navy teachers are GOSSIPING TO PARENTS about changes made by their principal who’s been on the job for a month. AND they’re doing at a school meeting???Damn, PP. Consider your source. You’re actually going to listen to some utterly unprofessional cranks? I really hope the new principal figures out how to get rid such toxic teachers. They have no place at Navy or any school.

And shame on you for posting here. I’m embarrassed for you.

You must be new to Navy then. Navy teachers have been gossiping to certain parents for years. Lol.

Just like anyone, they probably have the urge to vent sometimes. I wouldn't make a thing of it.

There’s venting to your teammates or family about your boss. And then there’s complaining to parents at a work event. If you can’t see the difference between the two and how the latter is extremely immature and unprofessional, I don’t know what to say.

How do you know for sure?

Know what?

WOW - I'm not a Navy parent, I've been reading this thread for kicks. I'm friends with a lot of parents who happen to also be teachers at our ES and none of them gossip to me about school-related things (except maybe things that kids that our kids' are friends with do). But even if we're talking about our kids' own teachers, they still stay quiet because that's their colleague. I can't imagine one of my friends who works at the school, let alone a teacher I barely know, gossiping to me about their new boss. PP sounds like a troll who is digging in.

Which changes have upset the staff?

The fact that PP hasn't answered this question 100% means they are a troll who has no idea what they are talking about. Probably doesn't even have a kid at Navy.

Probably. I wouldn't buy into it. A teacher may accidentally slip in a comment here and there but I don't believe the rumors. Probably a troll with nothing better to do making a mountain out of a molehill. New principal seems really engaged and so far so good.

You sound like an idiotic broken record. Have you considered that PP isn’t stupid enough to out it all on an anonymous message board?

+1. Pretty weird to assume someone is making stuff up because they won’t share more details. Why would they? It’s really not a big deal. It’s hard to adjust to a new admin after losing a principal and AP that everyone loved. The people clutching their pearls don’t seem to understand how schools work (no, having kids in school does not give you special insight). Staff will adjust, everything will be fine, and people should stop with the drama either way.

I personally think this thread should be locked, but anyways I will add my two cents.

several years ago I had a Navy teacher friend who had been reassigned grades and wasn't happy about it. under the old administration. So this is just something that happens.

You aren’t really friends with them as much as you like to think you are.

On the subject of kiss and ride, I heard a rumor a while back that century oak was considering gating the neighborhood due to the volume of traffic going to Navy. I can’t say I would blame them. I’ve almost been run over several times in that neighborhood.

sometimes a cop sits on that one road that goes Misty Creek to Thompson and pulls people over that don't make a complete stop at the stop sign.

The buses pass through there so not sure how that would work. Maybe the HOA of Century Oak should contact the school and ask them to not force everyone to go through their community by blocking w.ox in order to go pickup/park. Otherwise, just suck it up, it happens for like 20min 2x a day and was way worse last year.

That's silly logic - if multiple teachers told an entire classroom full of parents that she was upset about the principal, there would be people on here backing her up, but no one is, so....

But the PP who claims to have teachers gossiping to her left and right? She IS??

Kiss and Ride on West Ox would cause accidents.
