They blocked off both ends of the street, they created basically a buffer. And then they spent some time, A, trying to cool down from this and say 'Alright, what's our strategic plan to get to the next location without bringing this entire crowd."

I read some of the articles about the evening and now I understand why they got in a taxi. Their security vehicle was pulled over by the police for reckless driving and nearly running over a pedestrian. So they must have bailed and tried to find another ride. No wonder Harry was freaking out.

Apparently it lasted 2 hours because they drove up and down the main drag on the UES for over an hour because they didn’t want the photographers to know where they were staying.
