Why has Biden repeatedly lied about his family not receiving money from China?

Why did Biden lie about not knowing anything about his son's business dealings?

Maybe he isn't aware of his familiy's business dealings since he wasn't a part of them, doesn't benefit from them and was in semi-retirement before running for President.

His tax forms tell the story, unless you are going to allege he is a tax fraudster, like Trump.

He doesn’t claim to be lunch bucket Joe or for the little guy or for factory workers or for farmers or any of that. biden has this whole persona that he crafted that a lot of people believed was real. We thought he would work on the border— not open it. We thought he would advance green energy— not blow up the existing energy regime before it’s time. We thought he’d make things better financially but over and over his decisions make every bill I pay more expensive than the month before. This is not the Biden we thought we were getting.
