Good for propublica. I think the New Yorker might also have done an article on this. Susan Mayer?? It’s a travesty though. |
Yep. Just love all the pics of all those men conspiring to have their will forced upon us.
Weird that you never see women in those photos. |
Conservative women are only there to serve the conservative men; they haven’t quite grasped that once liberal women are effectively silenced, conservative women are next. They’re not special, they won’t be spared. And there won’t be any laws left to protect them. |
Please, let’s all take a minute and just think of how hard it is to be a bought and paid for conservative shill justice. They work so hard, and they’re going to have to be aware that people think their judgment isn’t sound? That’s like… that’s like just as bad as being a pregnant ten year old! These things are equally the same!! Next worse thing will be one or two Democratic senators - Democratic, can you imagine?! - suggesting some sort of unified ethics plan. Who will pay for Clarence Thomas’s mother’s house then? Who will pay for his nephew’s private school? What will he do, have to live within his means? No, this is unacceptable. The conservative shill justices work too hard for this. |
I don’t remember that one and as a subscriber I don’t want to use up my free articles looking. Do you happen to remember which one it was? |
Adjacent to this excellent propublica piece is a well-done 3 part podcast by On the Media. Listen to it! https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/otm/episodes/on-the-media-we-dont-talk-about-leonard-episode-1 |

Good for Durbin and Whitehouse, though I’m pretty sure the GOP members will torpedo this somehow. |
Leonard Leo, the man behind the Supreme Court majority, is not cooperating with a DC AG investigation of his multi-billion-dollar, tax-exempt advocacy empire. And the House GOP is helping him.
