Does University of Michigan live up to the hype?

Michigan has a stellar SMMTD. It’s considered conservatory level. It’s musical theater program is also considered the best in the country. Michigan does just about everything very well. It has no academic weakness

I just sent my tuition check for 26,000 for the semester, minus DC TAG was a shade over 21,000 times two semesters is around 52,000.

Both the music program and theater program are very competitive if that is the intended major, with auditions etc like any other performance type program.

Yes. Much better than UVA in all respects - location, sports, strong programs all around including STEM programs, no slavery legacies etc. I wouldn't want my kids to attend UVA even if it was free.
