LOL, you do realize that he co-sponsored a bill. He is not the lead sponsor, he is not holding hearings, and he is not a member of the majority party. Without the Dems, there would be no such bill. |
DP. Why are you lying? From the GOP 2024 platform: CHAPTER SIX: PROTECT SENIORS Our Commitment: President Trump has made absolutely clear that he will not cut one penny from Medicare or Social Security. American Citizens work hard their whole lives, contributing to Social Security and Medicare. These programs are promises to our Seniors, ensuring they can live their golden years with dignity. Republicans will protect these vital programs and ensure Economic Stability. We will work with our Great Seniors, in order to allow them to be active and healthy. We commit to safeguarding the future for our Seniors and all American families. 1. Protect Social Security Social Security is a lifeline for millions of Retirees, yet corrupt politicians have robbed Social Security to fund their pet projects. Republicans will restore Economic Stability to ensure the long-term sustainability of Social Security. 2. Strengthen Medicare Republicans will protect Medicare's finances from being financially crushed by the Democrat plan to add tens of millions of new illegal immigrants to the rolls of Medicare. We vow to strengthen Medicare for future generations. https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/2024-republican-party-platform |
She is the veep on the ticket that was elected in '20. She wasn't randomly selected from a random group of Dems. She has been affirmed by the delegates, who could say no if they so chose. If there were objections, then we would all know by now. |
Good lord. I have never read a more amateurly written screed. Pity Dolan can't stick to the script in his rallies and goes off doing weight-lifting exercises... |
How is Biden incompetent? Name more than one debate. |
+1 This wasn't the normal process to be sure, but candidates aren't robots and Biden had health issues that he didn't foresee as significant as he clearly understands them to be now. Stop acting as if the sky is falling. This isn't as grave as January 6 where the Capitol was attacked and the President at the time supported an insurrection. |
DP. Curious - did you really think no one would call you out on your lies? He absolutely has a home in Ohio and lives there when not here in Alexandria. CINCINNATI — There has been an increase in security at the home of Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance since the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, which happened Saturday at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/ohio/extra-security-at-home-of-ohio-sen-jd-vance-after-assassination-attempt-of-former-president-trump/95-4831853b-0ef1-4071-8598-78e9f2c68e54 Gov. Mike DeWine "approved" a request for security Saturday at 6:40 p.m., according to the governor's spokesperson, Dan Tierney. Vance lives in the Cincinnati area, so troopers are monitoring his home. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/politics/ohio-politics/oshp-providing-extra-security-for-vice-presidential-contender-j-d-vance-following-shooting-at-trump-rally |
So that's your response when caught lying? How unsurprising. |
LOL, including capitalizing "Retirees." The fact that they cannot name ONE thing they will do to restore "Economic Stability" is the tell that they have NO plans to do so save privatizing, which may be what their plan is to restore "Economic Stability." And there is no "Democrat" plan (the use of the epithet is always the tell in their complete lack of seriousness) to add "tens of millions of new illegal immigrants" to Medicare. It's not happening now and there are no such plans. You can tell an idiot drafted this because folks in the demographic cohort of these immigrants would be added to Medicaid, not Medicare, IF this were to happen. But it's not even under discussion. I feel so sad for any children of PP, because this demonstrates their utter paucity of critical thinking. But perhaps they are a cat person, so that might explain it. |
Cool. Where have his kids been attending school? |
Do you think nobody on a DC-based forum knows where these grifters ACTUALLY reside? It's literally in the Post. LGBTQ flags and quinoa: The liberal Va. enclave where J.D. Vance lives https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2024/07/16/jd-vance-alexandria-home/ |
Psst: they have homes in both VA and Ohio. I know that's probably hard for you to comprehend. |
I have no idea, but like most members of Congress, his kids probably attend school in the DC area while their parent(s) work here. Are you unaware of how many senators and representatives live in the area and send their kids to our local schools while Congress is in session? I attended a high school in NoVA and a big group of classmates were sons and daughters of senators and reps. |
So again, you refuse to admit you were caught in a lie. Let me refresh your memory: "He opposes any extant program or proposed policy that has any ameliorative effect on their lives. Cut Medicare/Social Security and these folks will not just be forgotten but dead." But do keep repeating your lies about him cutting Medicare and throwing out the irrelevant Project 2025 when you think no one will call you on it. We'll just keep swatting your lies back, much like Whac-a-Mole. |
Yes but generally those senators are actually from the place they represent and lived there before they were elected. Most senators don’t have young kids which enables them to go back and forth more easily between locations. Or they do like Biden did and their kids are in school back home and they trudge back and forth. JD and Isha both worked in California before he was elected so they didn’t live in Ohio for more than a hot minute during the campaign. That’s pretty rare. |
