OMG! Brian Laundrie is maybe found dead in the reserve (awaiting more news), police will announce COD for Gerrish-Chung family tomorrow, but I'm not sure what I need to feel at peace about Bad Art Friend.

Why do authorities do this? Announce when they will announce something? They obviously already know - just spit it out!

The media have to assemble.

Remember, they have jobs.

Boulders?

I work in funeral service. Someone killed by an object like a boulder does not have no apparent cause of death. I think it is safe to rule that out.

The boulder could have kept rolling so no one found it.

Can they do that? I think COD for anyone is public record, on their death certificate. Doesn't mean it's posted online, but there is a paper record that is public. Meaning- a reporter will go access it and post it online.

I think this is right, can anyone speak to CA law specifically?

Looks like it will be HS by process of elimination at this point. Why would the family not want that released? And which family's wishes would control? I believe the Sheriff's Office will make an announcement.

In the meantime, there are some interesting comments on the SO FB page re: close calls others have had on the Savage Lundy trail in heat.

What is the "So FB" page?

For Kolker to read this thread, #kidneygate, court documents, and issue an apology for his one-sided, biased, inaccurate story.
