I suspect he thinks he's got a good chance of getting away with it. Psychopaths don't feel fear and apprehension the way normal people do. And, so far he is still at large. |
Very interesting. I was not aware of this fact. |
| 13:24 thank you for saying please. I will recant my rape comment and leave in the slitting throat comment. He will absolutely get what he deserves in prison, his fellow captives will see to it. |

A look at the timeline of what happened to a wealthy family who was killed in Washington

I've posted a number of times -- this thread was, weirdly, therapeutic for me in the time since the terrible events. I was so upset by what had happened and felt like I needed to talk through what might have happened (I know that's a classic of feeling like it's a way to assert control over things). This was a socially acceptable way to do that. This was also an excellent information aggregation site.
However, it has really devolved. The combination of racism, classism (re: the reaction of housekeeper NG), and attacks by name on the woman who gave the interview are just too much. This is probably good for me -- I've been spending too much time reading through this thread. Thanks to all those who were posting trying to make sense of it. I sensed a lot of care and concern and grief in so many of the posts. Thoughts and prayers for the two families (S and F). |
Also from NBC: Wint has a court record that includes charges of assault, carrying concealed weapons and theft. In a 2010 case, he was arrested after a Prince George's County Police officer found Wint had a two-foot-long machete in a backpack. http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/NATL-DC-Have-You-Seen-This-Man-Suspect-in-Woodley-Park-Worked-at-Victims-Business-Police-304588391.html |
He will not get away with it. That is why I am appealing to whatever common sense he has left to turn himself in. It is his chance to step outside the crime and horrific mess and show he is a man. |
Oh thanks, I am that PP you are responding to and you are most likely correct it was his relative and not a friend. ( I went back to try and confirm the details but couldn't find the article right away.) And he was carrying a machete outside the AIW building in 2010?! I wonder if SS was alerted by anyone (maybe the police?) about Wint's bizarre behavior. 2005 to 2015 is a looong time to hold a grudge. |
They've said repeatedly she is NOT in trouble. A psychopath couldn't care less about his latest girlfriend. Do you really think he would give himself up for her? Never. |
I just found the article that has all this information in it: http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/NATL-DC-Have-You-Seen-This-Man-Suspect-in-Woodley-Park-Worked-at-Victims-Business-Police-304588391.html. That sure is a long time to hold a grudge. |
Once again, thanks for interjecting reason into this thread. Something tells me the shrews piling on the woman who gave the interview are some of the same ones who spent the past few days slandering the surviving housekeeper. |
| I find it hard to believe that he acted alone. If he did, other than money, what would be the motive? If it was money, why was only 40K delivered to the home? What would be the holdup about delivering more? |
welathy people often keep most of their "cash" in fairly liquid investments at a brokerage firm, that could take a business day or more to transfer to a bank account. Im not sure how easy even when it is at the bank to get 40k in cash. Certainly not a "right this minute" ask. |
Rich people are just not that liquid. Their money is not easily accessible. Maybe because of possibilities like this, who knows. Holy crap, I know friends who have needed emergency funds for genuine emergencies from their accounts, and it took about ten days to get the money. I can't imagine getting the money same day. Rich people do not keep their money liquid, with good reason, whatever it is. |
I do too. He must have had--if not others who participated in the murders and the rest of the ordeal--at least someone who knew he was going to do this/someone who provided transportation to the home or information about the family or something. The motive other than $$ could be revenge/anger at having been fired/having a relative who was fired or perhaps he committed this crime simply because he is a seriously deranged and sick person, a psychopath even...it certainly sounds that way. To your other question about only 40K being delivered, maybe that's the most cash that S could get at one time without raising suspicion. |
